We attended a close family wedding stayed over night and used the spa facilities.

The hotel staff went out of their way to be kind. Nothing was too much trouble. Including cooking some plain pasta for a little girl in the wedding party. We couldn't fault them. They always had a smile and were always available to help.

The food was delicious hot and tasty which is not easy to achieve mass catering.

Many thanks team and particularly Martha

Room was incredibly dated, and damaged.
Broken tiles behind the toilet, shower didn't work properly, and every surface and wall was scuffed.
For the £300 + we paid for our room, I would have expected something a lot nicer for the price.

The only redeeming part was the spa, and the dinner.
Breakfast was okay, but nothing special.
Such as shame as this was for our honeymoon, and wanted something special to remember...sadly mistaken

Well you’d think being a hotel and spa you’d get some some comfy beds. Rock hard to be fair. Awful night sleep and didn’t help to have the loudest neighbours next door talking all night and tele flat out. Phones down to reception at 12 am but to no avail. Said at checkout about it to be told we will talk to them when they come down. Not good enough tbh. Breakfast was overcrowded with staff always getting in the way, barley finished your last mouthful and the plate was taken away.

Spent two nights at this hotel with spa access.

Pleasant stay, room clean and tidy, only niggle was the shower curtain was very old and stained.

The overall decor of the hotel is pleasant, not particularly modern but it adds to the charm of the place.

The spa facilities are excellent, clean and calming. I had two treatments which were both great too.

Dined there one evening and also had afternoon tea. Now this is an area you need to improve upon.

There is a vast difference between unhurried service and absent service.

You should not keep people standing around waiting to be seated, and once seated have no staff visible or with eye distance in the dining room.

Granted you were not busy, perhaps 15 covers present at the time.. absent staff is not a good look and if not for the excellent spa facilities this would of been a 3 star review

Would visit again, but would like to see much more attentive servers and a little more enthusiasm.

Love Hatherley Manor Hotel. Situated just outside beautiful Cheltenham in stunning countryside. Very attractive house and gardens with a large field at the back perfect to walk your dog. Lovely comfortable rooms, great bathroom and big soft towels. Didn't use the restaurant but had breakfast in the room which was great. They provided a dog bowl and some wet food. Modern hotels certainly have everything but for scenery and history Hatherley Manor has our vote. Will definitely visit again.

Arrived later than planned and was checked in by Luke who was attentive and helpful. Took me through breakfast, gym, amenities. Beautiful area of countryside around. Room was comfortable, elemis items in the bathroom a nice touch but so incredibly loud, banging and crashing early from staff and walls in the older part of the hotel quite thin, rooms above are quite audible.
Reasonable gym setup, arrived in my gym gear to use the gym and the incredibly sour-faced and rude spa staff member chastised me for "not booking". Which I wasn't explained, nor thought would be needed for a 30 minute morning run on the treadmill. She then went ahead and "booked me in" without taking my name or room number, or any details at all, the whole interaction was both pointless and bewildering.
Great breakfast, salmon and eggs, toast, cereal, pastries, fresh coffee, great start to the day.

Lovely hotel and staff. Great food and the hotel is set on lovely grounds. The spa is incredible lovely clean facilities and professional staff. Unfortunately some of the rooms haven't been renovated whilst the other half have. We arrived late one Friday evening after a 3.5hr drive and we was assigned a outdated room, cracks and scuff marks all over the walls, long black hairs on the bed, spillages and marks on the throw blanket and spillages down the radiator it wasn't what we was expecting but luckily the night porter was super helpful and got us moved into a nice clean modern room next door. Couldn't fault our experience after that and would love to return the spa really did make the experience!
