We stayed in early November, it was really nice. The location is near a few other buildings, but far enough out of the way that it feels private. Other than the close buildings, there's mostly just countryside around the barn (which is great), then it's a short drive to Kendal to the nearest town. The one improvement I would suggest is that the rules for dogs could be made a bit clearer online so you know before you go.

HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! My parents-in-law stayed here recently, booked via Lakelovers. Unfortunately, they got bed bugs all over their bodies(see pictures...). Initially my parents-in-law left a note in the property, worrying it may happen to other guests afterwards. And also they sent the feedback to Lakelovers. However, their feedback was completely ignored and it was not investigated. It was their first holiday after long lock down. It is such a shame we have to share this bad experience. However we hope no others will go through same experience as us.
