Campanile Dartford

Horrific, dirty rooms. Shower (bath tub) so tiny that your feet cant be placed flat. No shower curtain so the whole bathroom gets soaked even if you try to avoid it. Breakfast was what you expect for a 2 star hotel, stale and mouldy bread. Coffee which is more like brown water and tiny portions of cereal. I didnt even dare to try cooked breakfast. Save your self stress and go elsewhere, its not even that much cheaper...

Nice room to unwind in after a long journey using the M25.good food and a pint of larger. Comfortable bed and tv in room and shower/barh. Tea and coffee making facilities. Very good.

Very cheap compared to other places around.

I came here for a one night stay with 2 others, we stayed in a Quadruple room. The room had a double bed and two singles! The room was at the end of the hallway on the ground floor.

We arrived at about 8:30 at night and went straight to the bar after a long day of driving. The bar staff was very helpful and professional. We ordered some food pizza and chips the pizza was a Chicago Town pizza rather than home made which wasn't that great tbh but the chips were really nice.

The room was basic, the beds were comfy enough, TV was slightly smaller size for the person sitting in the far away bed. The bathroom was a decent overall size although the bath tub/shower was small and the whole thing could do with an update or a freshening up.

The location is in a business park so not many local shops around we searched for another bar walking distance but it closed at 11pm, there was a Asda about 0.9 miles down the road which was handy. It's right beside the Dartford crossing so easy to get to and find. The car park was big and spacious and if you entered your reg on arrival you didn't get charged .

Overall for what we needed it was very basic and did what we needed it To do!

I stayed one night that was way too long... Good points the guy serving in the bar was friendly and provided great service. Bad points the bed was dreadful. The mattress was very worn and had become very soft. The mattress was covered with a sheet that was so itchy to the point where I thought I was going to get bed bugs. I slept on the duvet. I paid for breakfast and the cold part the continental breakfast and the coffee was great but 'full English' was dangerously under cooked. The bacon had been put in a pan to get marks but hadn't been cooked along with hash browns. The sausages were just dreadful. Baked beans were from the night before.

What a disappointment arrived at 7pm checked in asked if restaurant was still open to my dismay it was shut so went out for dinner.
Came back went strat to room had a shower as bath was to small got into bed and found that the mattress had spanners in it so had the worst sleep ever shame as it was close to blue water and lakeside.

Checked all good but that was the only good thing about this hotel. Nice a board REASTURANT CLOSED. We get point3d in the direction of our room, out of reception turn right. We find a door with an electronic door lock. Place our door card to the reader nothing do it several more time's only to go back to reception for assistance. Reception come out & just pull the door. The reader lock is broken. Bare this in mind as this door leads to all rooms on 3 floors, nice security, NOT. Get to the room, hmm book for 4, the room I saw was a double & 2 singles in a side room, o no not a chance, all beds in the same room. The room is chilly even with the electric wall heater on. The windows are drafty.
The room was clean & and tidy, but WOW, the deco is shocking back in the 80's. A bathroom light, when turned on flickers, went to reception for someone to come have a look, no maintenance at the weekend. The shower curtain needs a change, BUT the shower was very powerful.
A disappointment really & will not be coming here again

It's a really nice hotel/restaurant. The rooms are very neat and comfortable and the environment is Serene. A must visit.
