Clarion Collection St Albans City Centre

Exceptional!, Wonderful service from the lady on reception on arrival. Nothing was to much bother. We had adjoining rooms both were decorated nicely, clean and we were all very comfortable. Breakfast was great, many choices and we were made welcome from the moment we stepped foot in the hotel and even after we left. One of our boys left his teddy behind and we received an email from the hotel offering to post it to us. Simply Great in a very nice location.

Helpful, friendly staff who were accommodating with our parking (which they have for free) and a late night need for food. Air conditioning was being added while we were there, and during a hot day, but a fan was provided for the room which kept us cool. Shower was a little strange as it was unusually powerful and still had a plastic curtain. Good buffet breakfast with a hot option and the ability to request a few other cooked items. Would have liked a little more attention for coffee filing. Overall though, good town centre choice and friendly staff.

An interesting hotel with character and with multiple layers which is not immediately apparent from the outside.
The rooms are of a good standard, all the normal things you'd expect for such a hotel and it's nice and clean. The bed was very comfy and the rooms have aircon which is nice.
Breakfast was nice with plenty of options and types of breakfast.
Only thing I would change would be a card machine in the bar, as you have to go to reception to pay.

Small and cosy. Well staffed with seemingly happy people. Breakfast was good quality for a hotel breakfast. Parking was a bit of a walk, but free so can't complain too much. Rooms were good sized and well maintained.

Clarion Collection is a hidden gem in St Albans. The hotel is really fancy inside and the room that I stayed in was clean and fresh. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful (I forgot something when I was leaving and one of the cleaners I got it back to me on her break)
The hotel is definitely in a good location in St Albans, where the restaurant and pubs/bars are in walking distance too or use the hotel mini bar. The only thing you have to consider is the parking, it's a first come first served and you may have to park 5 mins away which isn't too bad. But all in all I can't believe that I drove past this place and didn't know about it! If you're looking to stay the night at St Albans, I highly recommend checking this hotel out!

Very friendly staff. Rooms are clean and to a good spec. Shower was nice with good water pressure, (as long no one else in the hotel turned a tap on!).
The only real disappointment was the breakfast where the choice was a 'continental' or nothing. The usual excuse that it's due to Covid 19, but I'm certain that a half decent kitchen could produce a better breakfast than a day old croissant and one piece of fruit - in my case an apple not much bigger than a golf ball.

Incredible! Absolutely incredible! The decor was stunning and I cannot fault the staff. The bed was huge and very comfortable and there was space to get ready and hang clothes. Excellent value for money. I will definitely be returning.

Really friendly staff, brilliant personal service. The lady on the front desk remembered me by name for the entire stay. Good sized rooms and a nice powerful shower 🙂
