Front desk was great on arrival. The hotel is in a nice position and had lovely rooms which were nice and clean. The Cast Iron bar and grill food was amazing, a special thanks to Thame the Supervisor who looked after us really well and also Robert.

We had our wedding reception here 30years ago (it was called The Swallow) so celebrated this by having a lovely meal with family at their restaurant, it was my birthday too, as a surprise they presented me with a lovely piece of cake with a candle and various fruits. A little bit expensive but well worth it, food was lovely

Whilst ostensibly not a bad hotel (the rooms are clean and well put together and the hotel restaurant did a surprisingly good meal) fundamentally this is like staying in 2002, not 2022. The room is a sea of red and gold and the whole hotel is extremely dated. As this is primarily a conference and business hotel you would expect plugs/USBs by the bed for charging phones and laptops. My room had USB plus by the desk but they didn’t seem to work. The hotel looks like it’s currently being refurbished which whilst wasn’t disruptive, does mean you’re walking through a building site. Whilst a useable 3 star, this is absolutely not a 4 star hotel.

Reception, greeting and welcome was good. Dinner and breakfast was good. Only thing was a funny smell in the bathroom, marks in the bath and blond hair all over the bed linen.

Nice hotel. Good breakfast but cooked wasn't very hot. Everything else was great, nice friendly staff and the Christmas party was good too.

Stayed the 1 night. Great location and the room was good. Starting to look a little tired but it's being redecorated right now. No complaints

Food was decent, foyer and bar nice… other than that…
All a bit of a show - the reception and bar and restaurant hark of being done up but afraid the rooms, corridors and general quality of the place was poor.
I had room 222 - things I noticed - fittings loose, bath/shower trim coming apart, mould in the shower, tiles not fitted properly - in fact sharp corners on the floor, toilet cover obviously been removed but wasn’t replaced properly,
In the sleeping area, as usual no plugs near the beds - only lamp plugs. Surely they realise people want plugs near their bed for phones now. Bed really uncomfortable and pillows awful.
Window although shut and vents shut didn’t stop draught or noise of the A45 which was 1/2 mile away.
