Nice looking premises, but -

It was cold.
The food was incorrectly cooked (well done steak vs the requested medium rare).
Wine glass on the table was cracked/damaged.
There was a long wait - even though the place was empty.

You can probably easily find somewhere better.

We made a genuine mistake of turning up the weekend before we had booked, so they put us up in their sister hotel, the Black Horse Inn. They didn't tell us it was a building site, and they didn't tell us when breakfast was, so when we turned up for breakfast literally 5 minutes late they wouldn't serve us, even though we had paid for bed and breakfast. The clientele in the pub were also quite rough.

Anyway that is a separate manner. If The Tutor House would have checked their bookings properly they would have seen we were booked in for the following weekend and we would have simply came back as only live 1 hour away.

If they would have checked their bookings properly the rest of the week they would have noticed that we were booked in again the following weekend and may have thought something may be wrong. If they would have text or left a voice message we would have cancelled but they didn't and we were charged even though we didn't stay.

The manager is extremely hard to get hold of any they won't give us a refund for being charged for not staying. I only earn £15k and this supports me and my fiancé as she is a full time student, who volunteers at the weekend. £75 is a lot of money for us.

Very disappointed and upset that they won't refund me. Such a shame as the management let's down this beautiful building.

Well what can I say but an exceptional clean hotel and the breakfast is a pleasure to eat. I would recommend anyone wanting to stay around Warwick to choose this hotel/bed and breakfast. They certainly go the extra mile to please. Must say a big thank you to Barry the chef bar man and hotel receptionist, also to the owner Sweetie who arranged a fabulous 4 poster bed with flowers petals to celebrate over 45 wedding anniversary. Thank you all highly recommend.

1472 sums it up well. It is an old coaching inn. Uneven creaky staircase and brimming with character and charm throughout. Drinking in the evening produces a pause for thought as to the many souls who will have sat in the same bar for an alcoholic beverage to tell stories of conquests, triumph, mischief and mayhem.
To stay here today gives a pleasant experience. It's not expensive and the food is reasonable and safe. Breakfast was good and the shower was bursting with life. Room for improvement with the bed.
In summary it's fine for an overnight stay and it is very near to the castle.

Delicious menu - Spanish influences offering authentic Tapas and a range of main meals, caters for all dietary tastes and restrictions too.
Great staff and service, cannot fault.
Lovely old Tudor building - very comfortanleneating supper by the fire. Cannot recommend too highly.
Mussels were deliciois!!!

Really weird little place, if you like old and quaint this may be the place for you. Very steep stairs, especially up to the 2nd floor where my bedroom was. There were 2 half height doors just opposite the room I stayed in. I wondered if they were intended for hobbits or where the potion was saying drink me ala Alice in Wonderland. Very small car park to front but I managed to get a space, I believe they're intended for residents.

Went here for a good friends 50th party and whilst the company was great and food tastes great the service left a lot to be desired. They didn't prepare enough of food despite there being the right amount of people there. Also the house beer ran out which is not great on the first night of a new opening.

Really friendly staff, lovely clean and comfortable room. Within walking distance of everything we wanted to see and do. Couldn't fault it at all, would definitely stay here again.
