The Bull Hotel

Check-in was nice and easy hotel is straight off the road and the parking is good, The restaurants in other areas to eat it’s very nice. Some of the rooms are a very long walk away from reception which can be a problem with lots of luggage. The rooms themselves are fairly nice but don’t have air-conditioning which was a problem and if your room like mine overlooked the bar restaurant Terrace then it was a bit too noisy to have your windows open if you need to get an early night, the room was clean but the bathroom floor was very sticky.

Live locally for the past 12 years and hadn’t realised it had a lovely patio and garden area for drinks and food.

Popped in with our family, we have 2 toddlers. They could safety wonder the garden whilst we had a drink, really nice environment, tables have parasols, waiter service and good with the kids, tasty food and nice drinks.

Will definitely be a familiar face there through the summer.

Easy to find and in a good location, the hotel was clean and attractive with ample parking. There was always plenty of staff around who were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was very good. We shall definitely be returning when the occasion arises.

I booked a room here for myself and my partner for a friends wedding using her wedding discount code to reduce the room rate. This reduced the room from £151 to £133. The booking confirmation only mentioned 1 person on the booking and not 2. My partner called the hotel straight away to advise that it should be 2 people on the booking confirmation. At no point was an extra charge mentioned. After the wedding, I noticed a £38 charge on my card. The hotel charged me for an extra person as well as an upgraded room!! We were not the only people in the wedding party that this happened to. It has come to light that instead of discounting the room, they reduced the occupancy. I would be very wary of booking with this hotel as they have only partially refunded me the extra charge and refused to refund me the rest as they are implying I booked a room for 1 person and did not use a wedding discount!! They have now stated that the wedding discount was no longer valid even though I have email confirmation from the hotel that more discounted rooms had been released the day before!

The hotel room, bar and function room were excellent, the staff very friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble for them and we had a great evening, they certainly looked after us very well. Would certainly return for another stay or to hold a function

The Bull Hotel deserves a very well earned 5 stars. The staff from Management to chefs Housekeeping are a delight .
10 star service they are a credit to the company. Cannot find fault .We attended our family wedding and the work load carried out by all staff was carried out without complaint and always a smile. Nothing was too much trouble.

My experience in the Bull Hotel was generally good. Explanations and helpful attitudes of the reception workers were beneficial.
I can just propose that short usage hotel slippers (disposable hotel slippers) can be added to the rooms. They would be convenient for walking around the room after taking off shoes, also for the bathroom.

We came for a dinner dance and an overnight stay. Everything was as expected from a 5 star Hotel from checkin to checkout. Quality of hot breakfast buffet was excellent.
It did take a while to get to our room but the room was lovely with pleasant outlook over gardens.
