No toilet paper in Room 5 when I lodged in on Saturday Oct 13th, 2018 around 1.10pm.I struggled to switch on the shower tap in the bathroom, very tight that I nearly wounded my right hand. The receptionist told me the manager just refused to repair it despite several reports. To my surprise again, 24 hours before my arrival at the hotel, my London-based cousin(who booked the hotel for me!) received a strange call from the hotel, telling him of 'emergency' plans to cancel the booking because the hotel was expecting guests from abroad. This is totally unprofessional. I cannot recommend this hotel for anybody. My cousin instantly promised to sue the hotel for breach of contract after full payment. The check-out time on the booking letter I received online was stated as 11.30 am but the booking time at the hotel reception is 11.00am...and any guest who stays longer shall pay £10 per hour according to the receptionist. I begged to be checked out at 12 noon but the receptionist said NO except I pay £10 extra per hour after the initial payment of £79.The hotel management must look at all these claims as urgent as possible.I also wonder why no telephone in each room?Let me stop here because I am still not HAPPY with the services I received from your hotel.

Very reasonable priced accommodation. I had a good nights sleep and overall I’ll give the place 7 out of 10. It’s no Buckingham Palace but it’s very clean and comfortable very roomy anybody on a budget I fully recommend this place to stay and will come back again myself. Thank you very much Grove apartments

Avoid at all costs! Performed a Bait and Switch on me - Booked this hotel via hotels.com being told throughout the location was within 1 mile of the embankment, confirmation received the week prior has the location across London in Peckham (6.5 miles further away) this made it completely unsuitable for my needs (needing to be at embankment at 5:30 am) and because they have a 'month in advance' cancellation policy I have potentially lost £000s based on them not disclosing their location honestly. Totally misrepresented their services to me and now won't even communicate with me to discuss.

Looking at the reviews on here, it appears that the hotel is not of a great quality anyway, never cleaned, beds in bad state, building falling down. as I said avoid at all costs.

In a lovely area but not the nicest place to stay its alright if you just want somewhere to rest say for a gig like me and my partner did but don't be expecting anything about it to be better than "okay I guess?? It'll do for now I suppose"

Absolutely filthy rooms! There only seems to be one member of staff and he clearly hadn't hoovered or cleaned anything before we came in. The toilet was left unclean (public hair unfurling delightfully across the bowl) and there was more hair and grease and all kinds of other filth over the bedroom floor. The receptionist started kind and friendly but then became rude and defensive. Won't be hurrying back here. Absolutely not worth £70 a night. I ended up cleaning the toilet myself - I should bill the management.

Great little hotel with an excellent location. I everything I needed was a stones throw away. So convenient within a block or two in any direction - the busline, train station, post I office, laundry facilities, phone repair currency exchange, restaurants, pubs, grocery stores, and the icing on the cake; a vegan bakery around the corner. Who could ask for more? Not I. The convenience helped me reduce my carbon footprint. I walked and walked and loved everything and every step. A highly recommended hotel and area.

I spent four nights here during a business trip to Central London & Bromley. It was very well placed for both and commuting was very easy. Driving out to Bromley was actually quite pleasant despite the traffic.
Getting into London was easy from here by the nearby Queens Rd Overground.
There’s also a shop just round the corner too.
I note some people were somehow a bit put off by the area but it seemed pleasant enough & generally people seemed reasonably friendly ( keep in mind it is London!! ).
The rooms were nice and spacious and I chose to dine in a couple of nights.
The people on Reception seemed cheery and friendly too.
