Nice and modern hotel, helpful people at the reception. Located near the train station, far from town centre. Not enough parking spaces at the front and this is NOT free. The overflow car park is too far. Rooms are clean but quite pricey. Avoid ground floor, you may hear loud people passing by.

Not a lot of parking at the hotel but there is a reasonably priced pay and display about 5mins walk away. Rooms are basic and have no fridge. However, there was an accessible wet room in our room suitable for disabled guests.
Breakfast was the best part of our stay. Buffet style with hot, cold, vegan and gluten free options. If you're staying here, I recommend adding breakfast to your room!

Really comfy beds & pillows.
Good value for the room.
Only had one towel hand towel and one bathroom towel for 2 of us.
Surprised to have to pay for the car park.
Dinner was tasty, but expensive - main was disappointingly very small - a starter-sized portion. Would recommend dinner somewhere else.

This could be a good hotel if things actually worked. Heating system is broken so rooms are freezing (we changed rooms because of this and neither room had functioning heating - also overheard numerous other guests raising this issue at reception), shower head leaking badly, TV reception dodgy, and room key cards constantly stop working so had to keep going to reception to get them re-activated. Decent breakfast and nice bar area, but overall would not recommend or stay here again.

Good room, nice bar, but no food available... caught f1 on giant screen and then played pool until the small hours.

clean room, nice comfy bed, great shower, curtains that were thick enough to keep any daylight out.

parking good if you get there early enough, could be an issue though.

Lovely hotel, very clean and inviting, parked with no issue at all. Staff all very helpful and pleasant, beds and pillows are lovely and comfy. Breakfast was great and plenty of everything. Nice to sit in lounge/bar area and have a drink. I would 100% recommend Penta Hotels

Great hotel, good value, lovely rooms, fantastic showers. Only, heating in room didn't work, it was freezing outside. In the end, had to borrow a fan heater for the night and the noise stopped me sleeping. I'd guess more usually it'd be a great hotel.

This was a mixed experience:

The good:
- Staff were almost always friendly and helpful through the numerous issues (see below)
- Convenient location, close to town centre and train station, as well as a shop nearby, plus the river
- Comfortable bedding and two types of shower in the room
- Breakfast was well-stocked, catered to vegan / gluten free, and was available for a long time
- Nice bar area with a free pool table

The bad:
- Heating didn't work; as we were staying in January this was particularly irritating. Staff however were happy to provide portable heaters to us and other guests who complained of this issue
- TV was lacking many channels, including BBC1 and ITV1. However when we moved to the room next door (to try and resolve the heating issue), the channels on this TV were fine?
- Key cards regularly stopped working, and we needed to go to reception to get them topped up
- Hand-held shower in bathroom was leaking

If the above issues were sorted out, this would be a good hotel.
