Ibis London Barking

The Ibis in Barking is a 15 minute walk from the railway and underground station which is the way we arrived. There is parking available for a fee should you wish to drive. The hotel is located along a busy main road however we did not have any road noise in the room. There is an air cooling / heating unit in the room and that kept us cool without the need to open the windows. The welcome was cheery and helpful although took a couple of minutes to check in as there was no one on the desk when we arrived. The staff were all friendly. The room was a standard ibis room which was comfortable and gave a good night sleep. We did have a link on the bathroom sink which should be fixed after we reported it. Shower was fine. Shower/hand gel as well as shampoo and towels provided. Coffee and tea making facilities in the room as well as a hair dryer. We did have breakfast which was ok. Some items very nice. Others slightly overcooked like the scramble eggs. It was still nice way to get the day going. I would recommend this hotel.

Good points- good parking facilities, staff friendly and helpful especially the lady Harman? who was on desk and breakfast . The room was fine,
and the blackout blind was great for blocking out light esp good for young kids. The cleaners always clean the room and provide new towels each day.

Not so good points- there was no kettle in room for tea/coffee facilities. Also had to pay deposit for hairdryer.

All in all, a good basic hotel for the price!

Clean, quiet, comfortable. Stayed 3 nights with my daughter for a London visit. Friendly helpful staff on hand. Everything a very high standard of cleanliness. Good breakfast and food available. Reliable wi-fi (had a Zoom meeting). Short walk to Barking station through a well-lit park.

A clean well maintained hotel. Breakfast was good. No evening food available. Rooms are small but clean and quiet. Grand for a business trip . Ten minutes walk from train station.

Not a bad hotel, great value and quiet considering it being close to a main road. After a long day, I was unfortunately, check in took a good 15 minutes (despite no queue) and when entering my allocated room, I found the TV on, bed unmade, towels on the floor and another guests property present. This was quickly resolved with a trip back to reception, but could have been embarrassing, and a security risk.

Had an amazing stay at ibis hotel during my business stay. The room was clean and the amenities were great. Staff were helpful and were very cordial. Good food and a really great stay. Location of the hotel was a big tick for me. Would highly recommend!

Room was clean and tidy. Excellent staff, very welcoming and friendly. Nice quiet hotel with ample car parking. Bed is comfortable and decent size bathroom. Highly recommended.
