Holiday Inn Express Stevenage, an IHG Hotel

Hotel was clean and rooms where spacious. Staff where brilliant and extremely friendly. Location is OK and was quiet for a Saturday night which is a bonus. Breakfast was good considering its a buffet, was all hot and tasty. The only downside was the 24 hour menu. We ordered due to only getting back from our event at 1am and was looking forward to the hand stretched pizzas we ordered for £11+ each however it seemed like it was an iceland pizza. Was OK but not worth the price. Other than that our stay was great. Good night sleep so can't complain.

I can’t praise the staff enough in the hotel. They were so friendly & welcoming. They were amazing with my 4 year old son & engaged with him the whole 4 days we were there, even when he was just talking about Spider-Man & visiting London Zoo.

The room was excellent, cleaned everyday & was great to sleep in.

Stayed at the hotel to attend a local conference. Very impressed with the value for money as had a lovely large bedroom which was spotless. Staff are warm and friendly and very happy to help. Fantastic location with lots of restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. Nice and quiet of an evening so could get a good night’s sleep. Felt very safe as a female guest. Definitely would stay again and would highly recommend to others.

We used The Holiday Inn Express Stevenage for an overnight stay after an evening at The Gordon Craig Theatre which was very close by. Reception check in with Euan was very efficient and we were very impressed with the friendliness of all the staff we encountered. Double room and bathroom facilities were good and breakfast was an enjoyable experience with everything being self service. We had travelled by train so are unable to comment on parking facilities. The station was a short distance from the hotel and there was a leisure park in the other direction from the station which had many restaurants. Very easy to get to the main shopping centre from the hotel.

I am happy with room, bed and facilities. Overall experience is excellent. Was great.The breakfast was good, The room was warm, in the future I would come again. Would definitely recommend to all my friends and family.

The staff were so welcoming and helpful, they couldn’t do enough for us. We asked for an adjoining room and about car parking and they responded instantly fulfilling our requests. We found the location fantastic for visiting family and the rooms were comfortable and good value.

Nice staff but room was dire. Absolutely reeked of wet dog and the smell never went away even with the windows open. Bathroom stunk of smoke. Stains all over floor and surfaces. TV did not work. Open wiring in room. I've stayed in nicer places for cheaper.

I stayed at this hotel due to a fire in my own property and I must say that I was so happy with the level of service and how helpful and empathetic the staff are! The rooms are clean and fresh so have no issues there at all!
In particular I'd like to say thank you to Ellie who intervened with my insurance Company as they caused a lot of problems for me and she was amazing at dealing with the mess they made for my booking. Thank you Ellie! Incase you are wondering I'm with Admiral who are the worst. Never been treated so badly! The holiday in express made my stay very pleasant!
