Staff and location are the good things in this hotel. Otherwise, nothing is good. It supposed to be 4 stars hotel.
No lobby.
Very Noisy at night.
Old furnitures.
Tight Corridors.
Expensive compared to other 4 stars hotels.
One elevator and small.
Air condition is old and loudy.
Uncomfortable bed.
Four or more stairs in the front door( it is not good for people who have baby stroller or wheelchair)

I tried it once and will not get back again

The location, friendly staff. Upgraded room had great views.
It is really unfair to judge the hotel at this time because they were about to be taken over by the Hard Rock Hotel, so were somewhat in turmoil. Nonetheless they did all they could to compensate us with good service, so we’ll done them!

Nice hotel, old building but updated to reasonably modern standards. 4 or 5 steps up to enter, didn't see a ramp on the front, maybe in back? Has two elevators/lifts installed. Location is next door to the Hard Rock Hotel, Marble Arch tube station around the corner on Oxford St. so getting around London and to/from the airport is easy.

I stay here a lot and most rooms air conditioning doesn’t work, and the rooms are hot even on cold days. You have to leave your window open and listen to the busy traffic for any cool air. The sinks in most rooms I’ve stayed in are also clogged. Front desk staff are nice! Rooms are clean, very basic. Biggest thing for me is they need to fix their ac units in every room.

Rooms are small, few outlets, no lobby, no food service. The hotel has fire alarm drills every week.

The atm directly across the street has a card skimmer.

good luck staying here in winter, you may need to ask for a couple of space heaters. the room heating systems don't work and the space heaters they provide you are small but gicen enough time provide warmtg, the windows are terribly sealed and so cold air continually enters the room at a faster pace than the space heater can warm. only 1 elevator works.

The staff is very nice.

the power outlet (only 1) is across the room from the bed and that's not of much use.

If I could have given this 0 stars, I would have. I’ve been college before, and this was a downgrade from my dorm. Dirty and gross.

I stayed at the Great Cumberland Hotel for just one night while I attended an event very nearby. The room was really small but I was staying there alone and was not there for very long so it didn't matter.
The standard of hotel is fine, a little old fashioned perhaps but perfectly functional and the breakfast buffet was very good.
The location is perfect, absolutely central so near enough to be able to walk to places of interest.
I will certainly stay there again next time I am in London.
