Oakwood Park Hotel

Stayed a night on 7/20/2013. Wonderful, serene, and clean. Breakfast was scrumptious. Wendy was a wonderful hostess and directed us to a marvelous Pub that evening for dinner. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

WOW What a superb stay!! My wife and I stayed at the Oakwood Park hotel on 27th of June 2014. This hotel has so much character, the proprietors were delightful the food was excellent. The rooms were faultless so clean and comfortable with so many little extras 11 out of 10.

Wendy is the best hostess. Amazing accommodation and quiet location. Such character and charm. Large private rooms. Will be back for another visit. So close to Hadrain's Wall sights and Lakes District but not in a built up location. Fantastic food and service better than any 5 star hotel. Would have liked to stay for a week and explore more.

I was very pleased with our stay at Oakwood Park. Rooms were clean and hostess was lovely and welcoming. The Victorian home is impressive. It felt like a special place to stay. I would definitely stay here again. We stayed in the family room with three single beds and one queen size bed. The bathroom had a bath with an attached shower head but was not an enclosed shower. Wonderful stay. Thank you.

Nicely decorated, with eye for detail. Good food, excellent service. I feel at home and as ease immediately.

After a long walk along Hadrian's Wall and arriving later than planned at the Oakwood, Wendy warmly welcomed us and knew that what we needed was to be shown to our rooms to rest. Wendy and her daughter were amazing hosts and were warm friendly and caring - just what we needed. And the cherry on top was the fantastic meal. Wendy is a fabulous cook.
