No rooms available as the owner sold out and took a payment to house migrants, nice one

The building is in need of refurbishment & my little single room was very small. So it's not glamorous.
However, the receptionist was lovely & explained things really well. There's 24hr reception & bar if needed. The room was clean & heated up quickly the bathroom was very clean and there was sufficient tea & coffee making facilities. It was also nice & quiet & I got a great night's sleep.
It only cost £35 for the room so was definitely a bargain!
So overall it met my needs of a one night stay & is in very handy location.

Great location as its very near the town centre, basic but dated rooms, no fridge in the room, and no lift (there is one for staff) which is fine until you've been up & down the stairs multiple times! Had an issue with a window that wouldn't close properly once it had been opened, which caused a draft but luckily it was hot enough weather that it didn't bother us too much, mattresses were not great / too comfortable but that might just be our own personal taste as they were v springy. Overall though if it's just going to be a room to sleep in during your stay its fine.

Great hotel for casual stays. 4 of us stayed at this hotel with in 2 twin rooms. Breakfast was great for the price we paid for it. The breakfast menu didn't have a veggie full English listed but if you ask they can provide it with veggie sausages. They have a pool table downstairs for you to enjoy. The pool table has seen better days but does the job. Rooms could do with an update. Shower had steaming hot water and high pressure. Definitely recommended for an affordable stay.

Booked for 3 nights! Reception very dark and morbid. Although receptionist was lovely. No lift facilities. We were on the second floor. And with back issues carrying case up so many stairs I was in tears. The carpet was worn badly! Holes in the walls! Nice stain glass window though! The room was very tatty.no space on left side of the bed. Tape on the windows. Paint peeling. The bathroom was so crapped! Barely any space between toilet and side of panel. Felt so unsafe and checked out day early! The lock of door was poor! I won’t recommend this hotel! It’s more like a homeless hostel

Hotel is dated but very clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, nothing seems too much bother for them and only a short walk into town to get food as the the restaurant was under refurbishment.
Will definitely stay there again

Felt like we walked into a 70’s B&B. Very old fashioned reception with threadbare carpets. Stairs also threadbare carpet with chips (like McDonald’s fries) dropped on them. No lift. Room very dated, lots of stains on carpet, bed base, walls and ceiling. Pillow had sweat stains when I looked under the pillow slip. This is why I bring my own. Sheets and towels looked clean. Bath, toilet and sink were sparkling clean. Had a great shower in the morning as water pressure was good. Nice new tiles. But still plumbed into horrible fittings. Could hear everything through adjoining door with other room. I feel it’s a work in progress. I would stay again if there was nowhere else. Glad it was only one night.

This hotel is disgustingly dirty. Food on the curtains and windowsill, stained carpets. Hair in the bed. Stained and peeling wallpaper. Toilet leaking raw sewage onto the bathroom floor when flushed. We pointed this out and we're offered a key to use the toilet in a single room. Not good enough after paying for an en-suite, and having to put up with the unhygienic toilet. No hand soap provided, we had to buy our own. TV remote grubby and broken.

Communal areas are tired and grubby. Staff are friendly.

They have ignored my complaint so am posting this to warn others, don't stay here if you like a clean room.
