Crowne Plaza

My room was nice, though I am reliably informed that I got one of the nicer renovated ones, and that there are some older, not so good rooms. My TV remote was broken, as was the fan in the bathroom, but other than that the place was nice. Food was excellent, but service was very slow, and the drinks are very pricey. Overall, would consider staying here again, though there are other places in Crawley that give it competition.

Hotel looking run-down now, reception staff do not seam interested when checking you in or out, saying as little as possible to you. I am a ihg platinum memeber, was offered no upgrade or perks, no lounge access only the normal points or drink voucher. Room was very tired looking with wall paper peeling off in places and the bathroom in need of renovation with a very poor shower in the bath. On check out was asked to pay an outstanding balance even though nothing was charged to the room and reward points used to pay for the booking which i explained and eventually the staff member lost interest!.
Would not return unless the reception staff are re trained with some customer service skills and the rooms improved.
The hotel reservation staff I must admit were very good and helpful in changing the date of my reservation for no charge.

Great comfortable room and bed. Bar staff were excellent giving great friendly service in a very well laid out bar. Nice open reception area. Car park was large for an airport hotel. Good value I used reward points to pay.

Great place for an office party or conference.
I really enjoyed the hotel and food was plentiful and delicious.

Shout out to the kitchen staff for a Christmas Dinner to be proud, bravo!

Rated 5 stars cause of the staff and the rooms. Even though ones at the bar at night seem a bit distracted. Rooms were warm and super clean, beds comfortable and soft. Found it a bit overpriced, but I guess that is London. If your flight is cancelled I recommend you to book here and then claim it to the airline. I also suggest booking breakfast since it is delicious and with a great variety of options for like £20.

I have stayed here a number of years ago and it is still a great hotel to stay. Attentive staff, love the bar area too. Ordered a platters of food after a long drive with my party of four. Good selection and tasty.

There was a company Christmas party and helped make the whole place feel festive.

Cannot fault this hotel.

The review is for the attitude of the hotel, as our colleague doesn't actually get to stay there. Their daughter suffers from mental health issues and suffered a setback. He contacted the hotel 5 days in advance to cancel 1 night. They would not entertain this. I get it, it's business and there is a cancellation policy, however I fail to understand where being humane has gone from their management.
Anyway, plenty of other hotels around for next time.

Stayed for 2 nights. The room was very small, but clean. Please note we will stay here again, but we will shop around. It was the little things which caused issues. The remote control needed fresh batteries and I almost drove to buy some because I couldn't seem to find anyone who had any.
We ordered two of the same meals and were only brought one. The hotel is obviously short staffed so we had to wait for quite a few minutes to get service. (This is a problem at a lot of places, so patience is needed everywhere)
The positives is the food was delicious and the staff is very nice. Being we are all living in a post Covid world it's the little things which make the difference when choosing where to spend your hard earned money.
