Such an amazing time! I was very fortunate to have won a night at The Salthouse harbour hotel. We used it for my partners birthday and I was completely blown away by how well they treated us. They helped me have a little surprise waiting in the room for my partner and he loved it. Plus we had a bottle of bubbly and complimentary cocktails. To finish off our stay we had our breakfast brought to us in the morning, and what a feast it was! We had a view of the waterfront from our room and with it being fantastic weather we were able to just soak it all in and enjoy it. Can’t thank the staff enough for how well we were treated and couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Very helpful and friendly staff. My first visit to this site as a coach party visitor. Accommodation very comfortable and modern. Very peaceful nights sleeps. Room has hot drinks making facilities and bottles of spring water. Excellent high quality and quantity of imaginative meals and menus daily . Bar serving wide variety of drinks and beverages. All reasonably priced. Enjoyed my stay here and extensive interesting walks exploring the local marina. Would recommend using this hotel to explore Suffolk and area.

Room for three (Inc 1 child) and a dog.

Positives: The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and warm. Smiles all round from front desk, porter and restaurant staff. Even the dog had a lovely warm welcome from pretty much every member of staff.
The breakfast was nice, fresh and tasty.
The room was clean.

Negatives: The shower didn't work. No AC in the room (one small fan supplied). Room was noisy due to being over a small car park and the steps of visitors in room above and next door were very audible. The walls had damaged paint and plaster. The bed was absolutely rock solid. The toilet felt unnervingly unsecure.

Overview: The staff made our stay pleasant, but based on the quality of the room for the price paid, we won't be returning to this hotel when there are many other options so nearby.

Luxury and amazing service from start to finish. My wife and I were made welcome by all of the amazing staff, from arrival, to dinner, breakfast and check out. The room was very clean, lovely décor and the bed was very comfortable! I would recommend booking a table in the restaurant and enjoying an evening meal from the fantastic menu. Thank you Team Salthouse!

Really love having afternoon tea here, it's always such a vibe every time. Thanks so much to all the wonderful, friendly staff. Great sandwiches and cakes. You also introduced me to fried gherkins which was surprisingly delicious!
There's one thing that I've been wondering about though. You used to do a savoury scone which had some kind of filling (perhaps squash though that may be completely wrong?!) and when I had afternoon tea with you over the summer, the scone selection was different. Do you still do the larger savoury scone, and if so, how does one go about ordering it? I remember it was so delicious, and this was back in 2017!

Stayed at the Salthouse Friday to Tuesday. This is our third visit and, the hotel is still superb. Such a beautiful setting looking over the Marina. The staff, food was all excellent. A special thank you to Levi who was very good and knowledgeable. Can't wait to visit again soon. Amanda and Stewart.

I had an excellent stay with my dog. From the moment I spoke to reservations the experience from start to finish was exceptional. The room was beautiful, the decor of the hotel is no less than fabulous, the setting on the harbor is special. You’d think you were in a top London place. I highly recommend salt house and would definitely be staying again with Phoenix

Lovely hotel - as they say family hotel but slick. Rooms are generously sized with small quirky (or curious) touches that mark it a cut above.
The setting was so quiet and I had a lovely view over the river. I was here with work and the desk and wifi were perfect as well as the relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant during the day to allow me to work. Will be back.
