Travelodge London Dagenham East

Brilliant location and overall a very clean hotel. Our family room was perfect for our needs. Loads of parking and easy access to rooms via lifts. Good security too. Would recommend.

First room I was given stunk of cigarette smoke. Understandably the hotel cannot control what guests do.
Second room was an accessibility room and while it was clean, the sound of people going up and down the stairs because of the cheap build material, was quite loud.
Additionally the shower soap dispenser worked once and then wouldn't spring back to work again.
For £120 this was definitely not worth the money!

To book took a few calls as we had no photo idea ... the lady I spoke to was not helpful.... I phoned back later on and that I had the main booking line explained we were coming for a funeral.and bout idea spoke to a lovely lady who said expecting could b made so rerang again and spoke to lady called Julie she was helpful friendly and we sorted it.as it was stressful as it was my partners mum funeral and lucky came on duty when was booking in the lady I spoken to 1st I would say was not helpful... the night early morning receptionist was also very nice.... and the other staff were friendly... value for money yes it is .... bed ensuite telly tea coffee etc....and clean will stay again ..... close to station and pub cafe etc.....

There were biscuit crumbs on the floor and the kettle was filthy so couldn't make a drink. Have stayed here before and this was the first time I've had a complaint

Our babysitter cancelled last minute. Our couples weekend would have been ruined if the reception didn't change our room to a family room at no extra cost.

It's a decent, clean and very accessible location.
Some flies in the rooms from air-conditioning but not very disturbing at this moment. I suggest some sanitization.
If you buy earlier than 3 weeks will be expensive, but still under Booking and Airbnb.
The phonic isolation is not great between rooms. From outside is quiet.

It's a travelodge so it's basic but you know what you signed up for. No breakfast buffets though, the rooms are nice enough round the corner from Dagenham East tube station and easy to uber to the Riverside for a boat or bus/uber to the Elizabeth line.
