Premier Inn Birmingham South (Rubery) hotel

Room was spacious and clean. The staff where fantastic and helpful. No problems when asked for extra coffee and sugar and towels.
One downside is if you have a newer phone and use usb type C you cannot charge your phone by the bed. They dont have plug sockets just usb ports.

No air con when I stayed during hot weather which was awful as window only opened 2 inches. Food next door is ok but don't get excited. Clean but carpets felt like they could do with a refresh. No noise from outside and a good location for south Birmingham

Room was comfy and clean. Food was quite good, outside area needs upgrading, some of the tables had nails showing which could easily cut someone's hand.

Rooms are nice, but no AC in summer.... Really?
People are very helpful.
What was absolutely disappointing is the internet speeds - less than 1 Mbps in 2022! Faster speeds for 24 hours are available on purchase.
Tried to contact them via the website, but the drop-down to choose hotels had so many options... Makes you decide not to give feedback.
Spoke to nice folks at reception and was told they've told management but they can't do much beyond that.
So pathetic speeds, inability to share feedback, management who forces you to buy decent internet speeds when Cadbury world open wifi was 75 Mbps...
I don't intend to stay here again and neither recommend this place to anyone else, unless they do something about the internet.
Honestly... nothing premier about this place!

It was amazing when I entered my room there was chocolate bars and a form to fill out the bathroom was really clean and the fan was facing the beds so even though there was no air conditioning it was cool with a fan the staff are also really friendly you should come here

Disappointing, our room was very unclean, almost completely untouched since previous guests. Hairs on bed, spilt tablets under the bed which we were unsure of. Tea cup had lipstick on it.

I stay here regularly for work and T on reception really has 5 star service. I always get a warm welcome whether travelling with colleagues or on my own. Always willing to help, T makes a great effort to ensure my stay is good. All the team there are good but wanted to shout out to T as I see her the most and she remembers my name, which is a lovely personal touch. I'm sad enough to have rated most of the local hotels on a spreadsheet as I stay in the Longbridge area regularly! This hotel scores the best, not just because of the practicality for work but because of the service and the room having simple things like a USB socket by the bed! Makes a huge difference!

Had to stay here for work. Have stayed twice in December. First room was on second floor and had very creaky floor and so did the room above so got annoyed easily as the person above was moving around till at least 11pm when I had to be up at 6.15. Food in the evening at the brewers was incredibly poor. As I was on my own I wanted to be in and out but I ended up sitting for 90 minutes for a cold meal and warm at best desert.. so the following night I didn't go down for my evening meal. Breakfast was continental with a cooked breakfast you have as a ordered meal and not buffet. This was fine as long as you were offered it l, as my 3rd morning I never was offered cooked breakfast by the one girl on table service. Bless her she has to look after everyone and obviously had to many guests to look after. Second visit better as I was on the top floor and far down the corridor so was nice and quiet. Decent room with warm shower. Again breakfast was the same and didn't even go for my evening meals because of such poor service first time round.
