Ideal location for a trip into London to see a concert. Around 10 min drive for parking and train and 15 train to concert venue. The room was larger than expected, clean and tidy, but did show signs of being well used. However this did not detract on the overall experience as everything worked fine, the staff were amazing and friendly. The bathroom was clean and the shower was spot on. Even with the window open there was no noticeable noise and the bed was extremely comfortable, I had a great nights sleep. If i was really picky the fan in the bathroom didn't work and was very dusty, but I would have no issues staying there again.

There's nothing overally special about this service station hotel, but we had a comfortable nights sleep here. The rooms are quite dated, with old carpet and room features which are clearly straight from the 90s. The customer service is very good and the place is kept clean. I was quite surprised at the £40 charge for our two dogs for the night, which made it quite a costly stay over. Positive there's a pizza Express next door to the hotel!

Poor attention on arrival, although 3 male staff members were in attendance.
This was in a way, overcome by the two female members of staff that were in attendance over the weekend, they couldn't help enough.
The room however, is another story.
Under no illusion that the bathroom had been 'deep' cleaned after the last guests.
As an old toothbrush was found under the WC.
The floor and toilet were stained with who knows what.
Cleaned them myself after purchasing some antiseptic wipes from the Service area.
The tap on the sink also encouraged me to use bottled water, it looked absolutely manky.
Towels were exchanged at request, with the old ones simply left outside the room.
Not bagged up, as I have seen at other hotels, due to COVID.
So caution about the virus was not an apparent issue.
A simple wipe over and mop out of the bathroom would therefore, not have exposed the staff to the virus, as I never saw one wearing a mask or gloves.
Think twice about visiting this place.

You get a pretty good deal here, and a spacious room. Helpful staff and easy check in. My room faced the motorway, so there was some traffic noise so I slept with the window open, which doesn't really suit me in the middle of summer. The car park here is pretty lively .... it's a busy services all in all, so you've got quite a choice of food and drink.

Its like a normal service motel along the motorway. Staff was nice and helpful. Room was not ready at arrival but got breakfast vouchers to compensate. Overall good.

We booked an executive room(Room nr.11).Surprisingly badly maintained rooms. The window sills were sticky, bathroom was so below words! Cowebs on the door hanks, the clothing hook was broken and the water drainage was kind of flooding after the shower.
But the staff Sara Specially made our stay extremely a good memorable one! Thanks to Sara.

I had booked two rooms, two guests. Got into my first room (117) and no power at any sockets. Given a second room (111). Window not fully closed and when I tried to close it, the handle snapped off. Given a third room (207). As you will see from the pictures, there's mould all round the window, the shower had mould and a loose drain cover, the sink was badly water stained from many years.

Make no mistake about this hotel. It is not worth the £110 per night I was asked to pay.

I complained online to Ramada with no response. Then complained to Wyndham Hotels who own Ramada, who promised in a DM action by Ramada staff. After three days, I'd had no contact from Ramada and on checkout, no one at reception was aware. Wyndham Hotels have refused by inaction to respond to any contact since. Pathetic.

Once you get through the glitzy reception, when you step through the double doors to the rooms, you're in a 35 year old Travelodge that's been rebranded, had some paint touch ups, but no real refurbishment.

The rooms are very dull and poorly lit. Bed was tired.

Local staff were pleasant.

Remember; if you need to stay near South Mimms, there's a Premier Inn close by.

Booked two rooms. In one all you could smell was cigarettes so had obviously been smoked in. Both bathroom had mould over the ceilings. The carpets have dipped outside the bathroom so stubbed my toe twice. The curtains were too small to cover the full window. The taps were rusting and the surfaces in the bathroom were stained and chipping. One room had an iron and no ironing board and the other had an ironing board and no iron. Only two pillows per room. Also, before we arrived they had the heating on full so it was like walking in to a sauna. Very stuffy. You're better off booking the premier inn over the road.
