It's taken me a while to write this, but had to be done. We stayed overnight on our way elsewhere. Our room was exceptional. Very beautifully decorated with an eye for detail. Also a wonderfully comfortable bed and pillows. The in room refreshments are of top quality and include a good range of drinks and biscuits. Cleanliness of the room was of a high standard.
The downstairs area is also really nicely designed, with an outside seating area too. Staff are helpful and friendly. Our only disappointment (not a criticism) was being told there wasn't any Sunday roast left, after we had made a pre dinner booking. Maybe good to warn customers that this is likely to happen. However, we did find a wonderful Indian restaurant as an alternative.
The little village itself is lovely to walk around.
We would definitely stay here again.

What a great little place, very cosy for a romantic getaway. Great staff, nice food and a great terrace to eat/drink.

Our stable room was next to a road which was very noisy otherwise this place would be 5 stars. We loved our time here.

Mooched into this pub for a light bite to eat. Nice atmosphere and plenty of room between tables. I ordered a sparkling water and a tomato, avocado, & mozarella salad with pesto. It was very tasty, sadly too heavy on the tomato (cheapest ingredient) and too light on the avocado and mozarella! If this was evened out some then it would have been great. Staff were friendly and attentive so 5/5 for the troops.

Had lunch here on Tuesday. Great home made burger and chips. Very reasonably priced. Staff were friendly as well. Think the pub was established in 1451 as a Coaching Inn . Just my sort of place.

Excellent friendly staff was the first thing I noticed. Food was good, a wide menu and not large portions which is welcome for me. Just 4 stars because the beer was quite pricey, and they ran out of several of the draft beers by the end of lunchtime. So seems like a great place to eat well but not so good to drink beer.

Stopped for lunch with friends. Good selection of drinks and great food. Classic dishes and some interesting variations too. Really good pies. Very conscientious about allergies which was great. They have GF, Vegetarian and Vegan options labelled on their menu.
Parking around the back which is really handy.

Absolutely superb, fantastic accommodation, everything you need, beautiful decor, even a dog bed.
As for the pub, it's what I call a real pub, full of character and the staff are outstanding. Would definitely stay here many times again.
My sincere message to the staff, is a massive thank you

Went for a last minute meal with friends. Pub was warm and cosy. Great atmosphere. Food was good too. Prices were as you'd expect around here. Not cheap but fair for what you get.
Staff were a bit rushed of thier feet with limited staff when we were there (Sunday eve around 8pm) Staff friendly and service pretty good despite this.
