Staff was excellent. This an older HI so narrow halls doors that gave a shabby feel. Common areas were up to date and quite comfortable. Rooms need an update especially mattresses. Requested room with fridge but none available when we checked in. Cooked breakfast was nice but fruit selection for cold breakfast was limited to melon, apples and oranges. In this area, this time of year, I expected a wide variety of seasonal fruits. A very good place for a short stay but not on the same level of the best HI properties.

I was more than pleasantly surprised with this place. They have renovated all the shared spaces and the pool is nice too. The restaurant is very very good for a hotel like this. The rooms have not yet been upgraded BUT they are big, almost like an American hotel room. The staff were great too.

Stayed for 4 nights. Lovely place and location. Staff very friendly, great little swimming pool. The breakfast had a great choice, never seen green veg on the hot plate next to bacon and egg much better than some places. Free wifi big plus. Some areas of the hotel are looking a little warn out, but work is ongoing to address this. My only complaint and I am really being picky, not enough plug sockets in the room. None next to the bed. Our room was quite a long walk to reception so make sure you have everything you need before leaving the room. I have to say the shower was brilliant it was hot and very powerful I loved it. Will happily go back.

Liked the hotel; staff are friendly and helpful. The pool area is kept clean and warm. Hotel room was spacious but unfortunately we found it wasn’t that clean. We found a few cobwebs so had to clean some areas ourselves – just seemed like they had cleaned it a while ago and nobody else was in that room for a while. We would recommend this hotel if you want to stay in Aylesbury for a reasonable price and you are not too bothered about the cleanliness but would enjoy the benefits of having a pool, sauna and jacuzzi in-house.

We stayed for two nights in October 2022. We were welcomed at reception on arrival by a very polite young lady. When we got to our room we found it to be very comfortable (my daughter was very pleased with the bag of M and M's). We did eat at the restaurant in the evening. We did find it to be quite expensive and the food was not really very good. My daughter refused to eat her pizza which was a burned unfortunately. The rest of the stay was perfect. The pool and spa is really nice and the hotel its self is really very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was really nice with some great options. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would use it again if we are in the area again.

Room was a bit dated but very nice and quiet.
Bed looked great until you sat or layed down in it. Been sitting on stone benches that where softer.
Location is a little off the beat.
Food in restaurant is adequate not brilliant.
Breakfast leaves little to wish for and breakfast staff where very attentive and nice.
Check in/out was a breeze.

Loved my stay overall, great choice of food at good value, but I am allergic to garlic which severely limited my choice. I would not expect the menu would change just because of my comments, as I appreciate I am in a very small minority. Great staff with no negative comments. The hotel is kept very clean and even though the cleaner staff work behind the scenes, they also are friendly and very professional, and do a great job. My only real negative is that the pool was closed, supposedly due to broken tiles. I also noticed there is restoration going on, but this was handled well.

Stayed here for one night and found the hotel very comfortable. Rooms were spotlessly clean and had everything you needed.
The only negative was that the hot water took ages to arrive for the shower but when it did it was very hot. Also the room could have been warmer. We bumped the heating up to 30 degrees before it got warm.
We had breakfast which was really good. Plenty of choice, including porridge made specially and the service from the waitresses was excellent.
All in all, great for one or maybe two nights stay.
