Fantastic mini break and self pampering. The only thing that lets it down is the attention to detail. Small things that add up. Slippers are no longer provided but not told that in booking so had to buy some flip flops on arrival.Hand and body wash in the room had run out. Tissue box in the room was empty and coffee machine in the room was very hit n miss on working. Housekeeping could easily rectify. Toilet refilled all night after flushing and noisy. Dinner booked for 6 45 but on arrival advised it was 7 45 and the moment we finished we were asked to take our drinks to the gallery as they needed the table. On all our meals where we ordered a side dish - these were delayed. Our meals were eaten by the time they arrived. Hand bracelets allowing access to the Spa and changing rooms had to twice be returned to reception to be recoded to work.
It was truly beautiful and indulging and treatments and classes were amazing but lots of little things add up to take the edge off it. More staff on hand at peak restaurant times needed.

Just back from our first stay here. Its a beautiful location and a beautiful hotel. Some areas are looking shabby and tired though. We were welcomed by the extremely friendly staff.

Spa are is lovely. Plenty to do and staff cant do enough to help you.

Food is second to none. We went for the Serene Spa Escape and the food package you get is amazing . Outstanding quality. However my gripe as always in these places are drinks prices. Far far too overpriced.

My treatment was lovely however we found the atmosphere in the treatment area a little unfriendly. The staff didn't acknowledge each other or smile at each other but with me my lady was great and gave me a wonderful treatment.

I felt overall the staff had obviously been trained to perfection but sometimes it felt far too staged and not natural at all, like they were reading from their company customer service card. This is mot a negative against the staff its obviously their company policy and i feel it could be less robotic and more personable.

We had an issue with our room being clean. It was dealt with as soon as we told them and we were also compensated too.

We definitely want to go back by far the best Spa I have been to.

Just returned home ( reluctantly) after a lovely overnight spa break with my daughter. Our first time here and hopefully, not our last. Spa was excellent, very clean with plenty of areas to relax. It was busy but did not feel too crowded. Enjoyed the saunas, pools, steam rooms etc. I think an outdoor pool/hot tub area would be a great addition, especially for the summer.
The hotel itself is beautiful, the gardens are stunning and we had a nice walk around on arrival. Our room was great. Just one quibble, I assumed there would be hairdryers in the rooms. I know there were plenty in the spa but if you are staying over, you tend to get ready in your room, so I would have thought dryers were provided there.
Food was gorgeous and the waiting staff ( especially Daniel) were all very friendly. We thought drink prices were very reasonable and no more dear than any other hotel we have stayed at. Reception staff were great too.
All in all, I would definitely recommend Hoar Cross Hall and I hope to return one day soon.

I’ve been coming to Hoar Cross Hall since 1999 and it just never disappoints. Each time adding another little special something. The food is delicious and well thought out menus and the spa itself is unsurpassed in my opinion. It has just about every conceivable treatment and offers two beautiful pools with excellent facilities. The rooms are all tastefully decorated and again well thought out. Over the years I have brought family and friends and just keep returning so I can’t wait for the next time. Thank you to all the amazing staff too.

Stayed here for an overnight Spa break with Dinner in the Ballroom & Breakfast/Lunch in Hugo’s Restaurant as there was an event in the Ballroom.

The grounds are beautiful, make sure you head out to the rear gardens to see the grand scale of this stunning property.

Staff were extremely attentive, all the cocktails we tried were excellent so they have a great bartender.

The dinner in the Ballroom was so much better than we expected as it was included in the package, but it was wonderful.
Breakfast was standard continental/English breakfast and was to a good standard.

Lunch at Hugo’s was rather bland, and each chicken dish was dry. The Asian style pork is the best option for lunch.

The spa facilities are excellent and there’s a lot of attention to detail as to which facilities go where, there’s something for everyone to relax here. Will definitely be back and not surprised it’s recommended by so many locals as a must-visit.

Some mixed feelings after a day here. It is a very impressive place with a good variety of enticing facilities. Unfortunately many of these were out of order or operating poorly. Bubble pools with very underwhelming bubbles, the steam rooms were warm at best, interesting shower systems out of order. On the other hand we loved the Salt pool, there were a good variety of saunas, the ice room was a nice touch, the sleep room was great, and the jets (the ones that were working) were very satisfying.
Changing facilities were nice and clean. There were water stations all over the place, some of which had ice or fresh fruit, these were nice touches. And the place smells good wherever you go.
My massage was probably the best I’ve had.
Lunch was also a mixed bag. The soup was good as a starter, but the main was very reminiscent of microwave pasta in a thin cheese soup with a chicken breast on top… very disappointing.
Mostly the staff were very nice, however a couple of them seemed stressed or unhappy to be there.
Overall we really enjoyed our day… but ultimately there were just enough niggles to put a dampener on the experience… I wouldn’t consider myself to be particularly fussy, but for the price this felt like quite a lot of compromise.

Did a spa stay. The bed was lovely and comfortable and rooms were clean. Included was dinner breakfast and lunch. Dinner was beautiful everything presented amazing and tasted beautiful. The breakfast was a buffet style breakfast with a great range and lunch was gorgeous again presented beautifully. The spa at Hoar Cross Hall is just the best spa I have ever been to always beautiful and relaxing. The best thing about the whole experience was the staff they really take care of you and nice little touches such as remembering your name for the next time they see you and offering a glass of bubbles on arrival. Had an amazing time will be back.

This is a luxurious spa experience with lots of options of fantastic treatments. There are choices of 2 pools each with jacuzzis, saunas, steam rooms. There are also lots of hot, cold water sprays, showers etc. It is relaxing to be in a robe all day even at meal times if you want. There are lots of relaxing areas to have a snooze such as egg chairs, heated seats, day beds with rugs. The setting is also stunning and the rooms are good if you stay over. The food is good too.
