If you want a cheap, comfy stay with excellent customer service on the city centre doorstep of Bristol, this is the hotel for you!
The red head storm was so energetic, really welcoming and lovely when checking us in. She was super attentive to all the customers, even through busy periods, she looked after us so well.
The general manager Dan was also great and made us feel very comfortable! He gave us a free drink for my birthday! It’s the little things!
Thanks for an amazing stay :)

Very easy to find at the top of Station Approach. Efficient check-in. The single lift looked a tad scruffy but worked ok.

My room was rather dingy but everything worked. It was quiet and the comfortable mattress provided a good night's sleep.

The breakfast was of the standard expected and there was a choice of seating in the breakfast area.

Check-out was quick. A solid, basic hotel but not great value at the rate I paid.

Nice place, near to train station and city centre. The room was large and clean, the towels have been changed everyday. We had also a nice view on the station. A lot of choice for breakfast, the only problem was the last day, when the coffee in the coffee machine finished and it was not replaced. The rest was really good. There was also a luggage storage: the last day after the check out, we left our luggages there and we came back to take them in the evening. It was so nice.

I had a very good time staying at the hotel. The staff were very welcoming and helpful at all times. The room was lovely. I was given a voucher for a free drink in the evening as a member of the Loyalty scheme and that was much appreciated.

My only concern was that the breakfast was not good for vegans in the choice of cooked foods. I'd also much rather have a tea pot for my tea, rather than a tea bag in a small cup.

Good location, clean rooms, good breakfast. Let down by noisy and inconsiderate clientele...
We stayed 4 nights over Christmas. The location suited us, being close to buses and trains and also walking distance to family. We were allocated an accessible room(which we didn't request) on the back/quiet side of the hotel but which gave us a bit more space. The room was clean and tidy but quite basic. Room to room sound insulation is not great. The bathroom was good, also clean and tidy. The only down side was low water pressure and a shower tray which didn't drain away …
The breakfast buffet was pretty good for a budget hotel and the staff were all friendly and helpful.
On the downside, of the four nights we stayed we only had one good sleep. On two nights, other guests arriving back in the hotel around 03:00am were very noisy in the corridor, waking us up. On another night the fire alarm went off giving us a brutal wake up at 01:30am. No safety announcements made. We stayed put and it went off after 3-4 minutes. It transpired that guests somewhere in the hotel had been smoking and set the alarm off.

Overall the hotel works well and is in a good location.(Maybe also for guests on late night partying...)

Nice and comfortable stay, with the price it comes with pretty comfy rooms. It has heating and air conditioning both, so suitable for winter and summer every whether.

Staff is polite and friendly. Service is good. I asked for a child cot bed and they quickly arranged it with extra pair of sheets.

For breakfast I asked if they have anything vegetarian and they quickly prepared the vegan sausage. Although there is options for cereals, scrambled egg, fruits, bread, croissants and muffins. With some juices.

Overall nice comfy stay.

We stayed at the hotel for a night as we were attending an award ceremony in Bristol. The room was quite small for what we paid for. The double bed was a actually kind of a large single bed. My husband slept on the floor. Before you say anything, I can tell you we are both slim built. We asked for an extra quilt so that he can sleep on it but we’re told they didn’t have any left. It’s a hotel there should be extra supplies of pillows, sheets, towels, and quilts etc. The ironing board was broken. I had to hold it while my husband ironed his shirt. I told him to ask them for another board. He said they might not have a spare like with everything else. The breakfast was okay. The only good thing about this place are the staff. I couldn’t fault them. Well mannered and pleasant.

I stayed here for a night whilst visiting customers in the southwest. The reception staff were excellent, they checked me in without any fuss and explained everything I needed to know.
The room was clean, quiet and be comfortable.
The bathroom did what it needed to, though in these modern times the toiletries were attached to the wall, no bar soap which is my preference. It's not a big issue.
The breakfast was the standard offering at a Holiday Inn Express. The coffee was good, the staff cleaned everything away in a timely fashion.
The location was also handy for the train station.
