Cottesmore Hotel Golf & Country Club

Went here for a family wedding. We stayed in the Carnoustie Lodge which was lovely apart from a constant strong smell of curry.
The venue and staff were perfect for a wedding. I would defo recommend.....just make sure you book one of the other lodges (unless you like 24hour curry smells!)

We visited for a wedding and stayed overnight. Every member of staff (cat included!) treated us very well. Everyone happy to help us while my husband was poorly and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The food was absolutely amazing! Hot, fresh and cooked to perfection. The room was spotless and the bed was extremely comfy. The breakfast the following morning was divine! Fresh croissants, cereal, teas coffees and a menu of freshly cooked food. Never tasted French toast like this before! We would highly recommend this venue

Good place to spend a relaxing weekend away from the city. We stayed at one of the self-catering cottages. Very clean and cosy.
The use of the spa is included with your booking (gym, swimming pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub). There is a restaurant, should you need and a golf club. Different spa treatment available at an extra cost.

Attended a wedding reception here - staff were amazing, location is beautiful food outstanding. Watching fireworks from balcony while drinking hot chocolate was magical. Would love to come back for a stay sometime.

Certain amount of "give and take" with this experience. The room was clean and well spaced with the exception of the en suite which was cramped and poorly designed. Beds and quality are subjective but I found it uncomfortable. The food was great. Service at best confused and at times slow. I suspect it was first time for the majority. Training issue? The swimming pool was "bracing" but the sauna perfect. Splendid views from the breakfast room! Good parking.

We recently stayed in one of their beautiful lodges. The accommodation was very clean and warm on some damp November evenings. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Our flight back home got cancelled so we ended up at Cottesmore Hotel Golf & Country Club. We had a really great time, the cottage we stayed at was amazing, warm and cozy, clean and even if we were a bit sad that our flight got cancelled, we still had a great day at the Hotel. The Pool area was also really nice and the food was great. All the stuff members were really friendly and we got everything we wanted, including afternoon tea time which was a highlight for us. THANK YOU Cottesmore Hotel Golf & Country Club!!!! Hopefully we can come back someday!

Overall an average hotel.

The main meals on menu were very good and reasonably priced , although I wouldn't recommend the club sandwich as this was not enjoyable.

The best thing about this hotel was the pool and spa area and the roast dinners , the scenery and surroundings.

The worst things about the hotel was the scaffolding that was up and the building noises first thing in the morning. Also guests next door with children were making noise early hours. breakfast was only available up until 10am which is a little early if you want a lay in.

The hotel is surrounded by beautiful trees and a golf course which is a lovely environment, tucked away.
