Very good value. Room clean with tea, coffee and biscuits supplied. Comfortable bed, compact ensuite (I was on top floor). Only negative are the stairs which are pretty steep. Access code on main door and key left on bed. Pub and restaurants close by. Curry Club Indian restaurant was friendly with excellent food.

The worst nights sleep I’ve ever had, very noisy guests partying until 06:10 am, complained to the hotel and checked out early,
Absolutely no acknowledgement from the hotel, no apology and worst of all refused to refund for the 2 nights I didn’t use, repeatedly tried to contact them through Booking.com but no response what so ever.
Is this a 4 star hotel, is this what you’d expect from a so called 4 star hotel???
Answer - ABSOLUTELY NOT!! Incredibly rude, very very disappointed with everything, I would give The Carlton 1 star at best, and that’s being generous.
Would I recommend?? Not in a million years NO!
Very poor indeed 🤬🤬🤬🤬

Julie and her staff were incredibly accommodating, going above and beyond to make sure our stay as a large group was as comfortable as it could be. The location is an easy 5 min walk to the centre of Rugby, beds are comfy, and everything works (what more do you need). Would recommend to anyone looking for a hotel at this price point.

Equal to but not greater than sleeping in a ditch
No parking (regardless what the website says there is not parking for the rooms)
Bed uncomfortable
Security light shining through paper thin poorly fitting curtains
Receptionist couldn't care less refused refund. Didn't stay Avoid

This hotel is one of the worst i have stayed in. The rooms are not looked after at all. There was wallpaper hanging off the walls, lights not working, lights hanging out of socket above the shower. We stayed with 2 other couple and all 3 rooms were really terrible. One of the rooms had stains on the bed/walls which we dare not touch. Our bed was comfy but the generator that intermittently ran through the night was not helpful with how noisy it was.

Brilliant Hotel! Had a lovely stay at the Carlton, centrally located so close to all amenities. Lovely cooked breakfast in the morning and close to the train station so very convenient for us. We will definitely be back
