Lime Wood Hotel

Afternoon tea. Yum yum.
Atmosphere was good....felt like a special occasion without being too formal. Yes, you are surrounded by mainly RICH people, but most of them weren't too imposing/irritating.
Waitress was lovely, even with the couple of demanding tables that were there.
Selection of teas great, sandwiches small but lovely. Scones good. The sweet treats were small, but filling and sweet.
For next time, I will ask if we can have a couple more sandwiches and a bit less sweet (perhaps one scone is enough).
Definitely will go back for a special event,..5* if balance of savoury/sweet was a bit more even.

We went to Lime Wood for lunch yesterday to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had an absolutely magical day. The staff were fabulous, just the right balance of ensuring all our wishes were exceeded but not intrusive at all. The food was outstanding, and the setting was stunning. We have been coming to Lime Wood for years and yesterday was our favourite visit to date. We can’t wait to return.

Such a treat! Came back for a long weekend, after last visiting in 2016.

The spa, restaurants and bar were really lovely and of high quality. All the staff were very friendly and professional.

We loved our accommodation in Coach house 1. We could happily have moved in!
Also dog friendly, just not in the public areas of the main house and spa.
We cant wait to return.

Beautiful grounds, amazing people, great food/drink with a relaxing atmosphere.
The dinner menu rotated daily with what was harvested that day, which gave great options from night to night.
The spa was simply amazing!
The staff went above and beyond on multiple occasions during our stay, and really made us feel special and welcomed.

The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, and the staff are kind, knowledgeable and enthusiastic, at both FOH and restaurants. No one made us feel like we didn’t belong, which is always my fear in gorgeous places like this. The grounds are lovely, the spa and treatments at the Herb House are splendid. We had a wonderful time.
It’s also a great location for exploring the New Forest - and whilst we did drive to Beaulieu, I’d have been content to stay on the hotel grounds!

Only went for a sparkling afternoon tea but the quality of the food and service was excellent. Would thoroughly recommend. Hotel looked lovely and seemed very busy as there was a wedding scheduled on the same day. Look forward to returning on the future and trying out the rooms and spa facilities.

Had a mid-week lunch here celebrating my husband's birthday and everything about our visit was amazing from start to finish. The meet and greet at Reception was friendly and professional. The staff in the restaurant were helpful and kind. Their service was impeccable and friendly. Our seats were great. The food was mind-blowingly fabulous. We had our after lunch tea and coffee in the comfortable lounge area . We honestly cannot recommend Lime Wood highly enough. It's wonderful...give yourself a treat, you definitely won't regret it.

My family and I really enjoyed our afternoon tea at this beautiful hotel. The service was excellent (they remembered that I am lactose intolerant/dairy free) and the food was delicious! I also love the decor in this building. I look forward to coming here again.
