I visited the Whyte Harte with 3 of my friends. I had been referred there by a friend a while ago, yet had not had the opportunity to go until last week. There is a large bar area and a separate restaurant area. The place has a real homely feel to it, with candles everywhere and lots of fresh flowers. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food was the best we have all had in a long time, and the desserts were even better. Prices are reasonable and we even had a cocktail in the garden before our meal. We will definitely be back. Thanks for the great evening.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. During my stay there was no heating in my room, the radiator was hanging off the wall and a very real danger. Water was dripping from the ceiling in the corridor. Our party made several attempt to order wine and food only to be told it was not available. The breakfast was fine. I would not want to stay in this hotel again.

Really disappointed as have had some great meals here in the past. Went as family of 4, and ordered Sunday roasts but there was no horseradish available for the beef, no apple juice for the children and no wine glasses available (!). There was only 1 ale available (London Pride). Roast chicken was dry and roast potatoes limp not crispy. Might be worth going for a quiet drink as is a lovely old building but based on lunch experience I'd avoid for dining, didn't stay at the hotel.

Lovely place with ancient charms nicely updated. Rooms are cheap and cheerful- no pretense but showers are new. Everyhting is kept very clean. Rates are more than reasonable and breakfast included is excellent. Staff are very helpful and nice, owner is also very nice. Pub is great but does close early depending on business. Has a decent dartboard as well.

Close to Gatwick airport. Pub with hotel, car park at rear and on street parking. Dog friendly. Friendly, efficient staff. The evening meal and breakfast were very good and a reasonable price. Our room was on the small size but fine for one night with the dog. The decor was "tired" but everything was clean and tidy. It is an old building and the pub has a lot of character, fairly busy and with a good atmosphere. We will use again.

Sunday Roast
We booked a table at the venue a few days ago for a Sunday lunch. Warm welcome on entry and shown to our table by a lovely member of staff. Drinks ordered and they came quickly. Very helpful with my dietary requirements.. The food was very good and the staff were really friendly and v helpful. We will definitely be going back.

Fantastic good value meals and drinks. Ideal location. We've eaten a couple of times at the Whyte Harte Hotel and every time have had a wonderful meal. Edit: 29/07/2021: TWH have benches out front now, which is wonderful. Had a lovely meal and drinks. Service was excellent
