Stayed here recently while I was away for work. The hotel was dirty and smelly. The hallway smelt of urine. The room was dingey and the carpets were old and looked dirty. I kept my shoes on the entire time even when getting out the shower. As I felt so uncomfortable walking around bare foot. I didn’t even get a good night sleep as I was so concerned with the hygiene. Thought about sleeping in my car at one point, which I would have done if I hadn’t spent £100 to stay in the room. I needed to get up at 4am so just tried to sleep and get on with it. I complained to customer services. Who refused to help as I didn’t have photographic evidence.

Simple Travelodge with basic takeaway breakfast available. Beds were clean and rooms spacious, but the carpet throughout is so worn and discoloured that it put me off wanting to stay again. It looked unsanitary although I am sure it is regularly cleaned!

Good nights sleep. The best most powerful toilet that I've ever came across. Like every body else mentioned does need new carpets.

ST and SG was amazing, made us feel comfortable and pleasant ☺️. They were the best hostess you can ask for. Made us feel very welcome 🤗 will be back again for sure. Good reasonable price and clean rooms. Amazing people!!!

Update: visited this hotel again and must tell that experience is completely different. Receptionist checked me in twin room and refuse to change for booked room with double bed, stated that hotel is fully booked with literally few cars parked outside.
Carpet disgusting. Couldn't close and lock faulty window properly.
Bedding dirty!!!
Massive radiator for central heating out of order but in the room tiny electric radiator instead.
Just avoid!

Kind of old Travelodge with old fashion furnitures. Room clean, parking free. There is Toby's Carvery in the front of the building.

3 night stay. Room was clean and warm, bathroom was clean and shower hot. WiFi was good. Toby carvery across car park so good food easily accessible. All for £40 a night so a good deal. Public areas have new carpets so previous guests' concerns have been addressed. Reception staff were always helpful too.

I wasn't sure about the hotel and my expectations were very low due to the mixed reviews. I am a solo traveller, I stayed the night after visiting friends. The check in service at midnight was fast and friendly. The room was super clean. So, I was almost ready to give it a full 5 star as it well exceeded the price paid (Circa £40 per night) Comfortable double bed. About 150cm mattress so possibly not comfortable enough for 2 people. However, the 2 tiny pillows are made of cheap stuff. This affected my sleep- I knocked a star for that. The hallway can get a little noisy in the morning and I heard it through the door so I knocked another start for that. It is true that the carpet is worn in the rooms as you will see in other reviews, but it is still very well vacuumed and clean, so that didn't bother me. The hotel is very well situated in a close proximity to shopping areas within 1.5miles, which is 8 minutes by car or 35 minutes walk according to Google Maps.
