This was an overnight stop before our flight.
I’ve never came to this area before, but I regret not staying more, it’s so peaceful and very cold weather (end of June), the room doesn’t have an AC because you won’t actually need it.
Nice & clean room with a good view. And the staff were too friendly and welcoming, they helped us with our BIG luggage (as they don’t have an elevator), also, they gave us some croissants to go since we went out so early for our flight.
The only thing I could comment on was the walls are so thin I slept through someone else’s snore I swear to god 😂 I was shocked 😂😂
Overall, it was a very nice stay, I would come back.

Had the pleasure to attend nieces wedding. The venue was hired ( whole hotel ) lovely location. But the let down was the management of the day. Appeared not to be organised. From staff smoking at the bar outside. Non alcohol Refreshments not being offered although paid for in package. When served took 20 min or was served cold ( cold coffee) and being charged for tea and coffees. Staff dropping trays as they did not know how to hold them correctly. Lack of communication as planner who wasnt there forgot to tell manager or chef there was a bbq! They had to drive elsewhere to get the food ! Staff not dressed appropriate for the day. Sitting around ( and smoking ) . I could list more, the staff need training and more communication between the " planner" and the staff. I wont even mention breakfast. As a stay before you fly it is fine but as a wedding venue they really do need to communicate more effectively and ensure all staff are suitably dressed and aware of the days itinary and more importantly let the guests know ( example, pizza just put in marque tent guests not informed they had even been cooked!) . Hope this review helps not only future customers but management so you can turn it into what it is. An amazing wedding location...

Was a guest at a wedding reception 2nd September 2022, bridal party had specifically stipulated and requested, gluten free options, the pizza oven point, rife with cross contamination, when asked about burgers, a member of staff confirmed burgers and sausages gluten free, but not the buns??? So this was poor, very slow service at the outside bar area, 1 till catering for 70 guests.
Bridal party had a great day (these are my personal experiences, cant comment on the rooms, i didn't stay)

The word "charming" has been overused, but it's very appropriate. It's a small hotel, probably used to be a large house, but it's been well redone and turned into a hotel with a comfortable feel and large-sized rooms. We needed two rooms with accommodation for two adults and four grandkids, and they delivered that very well, with the two rooms each almost like a small apartment. You do need a car to get here, though; it's very close to Gatwick Airport (so the planes are very obvious, although they do stop overnight). Breakfast was exactly what we wanted - continental but with a number of choices that kept us and the kids happy. Breakfast started from 0700, so good for early flights, but on the one night we stayed, the service was lackadasical; the two staff seemed to spend most of the time chatting rather than seeing that milkjugs were refilled, cutlery was available, etc. Good hotel, we would stay there again - but without the kids this time so that we could enjoy ourselves!

Had layover and stayed one night. No frills. Continental breakfast left something to be desired. No evidenced A/C. Windows of room were open with fan.

Overall clean. Good for a night.

We stayed here before catching a flight from Gatwick Airport. The rooms were very nice. We stayed with kids and the beds are in separate rooms which was really convenient. There was a good, free breakfast too. It was about £20 more expensive than other hotels but worth the additional spend

Used them for our wedding. They have been very helpful throughout, excellent customer service, and the food was absolutely divine at our meal tasting, and on our big day. Really wonderful place to get married

Lovely receptionist, nice rooms, nice and warm. Good parking. Light sleepers will hear the aircraft but once you're asleep it's no issue.
