Booked this venue for our wedding reception. It was fantastic. The food was amazing, the recommended DJ was incredible, and the Events Coordinator Kaska was beyond amazing.
I cannot recommend this place and Kaska enough. Made our wedding day so special

The staff are really friendly. The building probably has its original decoration and the rooms echo this. Why? Because the 1966 England squad stayed there. Hence the room names. However the shower also seems to have the original mildew. Meh. I've stayed in worse 🙃

• The beds are very small and sag in the middle, they are extremely uncomfortable.
• The rooms are dated and poorly laid out - ‘upgraded’ to a suite and the bathroom is smaller than a normal room.
• The bar is overpriced and lacking.
• Breakfast was nice, however, not sufficient laid out for volume of customers.
• The staff are friendly, however, trying to find one is tedious and shouldn’t be necessary - too much time spent waiting around for staff to appear.

We stayed here last night in what was meant to be an accessible room called Peters Room. The Wetroom was big with a foldable seat on the side wall. It was big enough to cater for a wheelchair user, although the room itself wouldn't of been good enough to take a wheelchair. There was a small double and a single bed in there, however, I get the point that there was a bed for a carer but, there is no way if a wheelchair user went there on there own the set up of the room was all wrong. For a start, the wheelchair user would get in the beginning of the room but then that would be it! Wouldn't have been able to get to access the TV remote, back door or curtains to close them at night. The nets weren't big enough to even have the curtains open fully as they didn't reach the whole window and looked shabby and cut. It was all very out dated and needs a makeover. The toilet in the wetroom was awful. Didn't flush properly and took ages to fill. There was a damp smell when it did flush and took ages to refill. The windows would be impossible to open for a wheelchair User in the bathroom due to the top handle, especially if the wheelchair user can't walk at all. They were both wobbly, old and looked like they've seen better day. This really needs sorting. Everyone can see in the bathroom unless you close the blind as it was totally open to the outside so you can see in. Shouldn't have to close the blind to have privacy going to the toilet. When we arrived we were told they can't do evening meals and no one was there to do them, but they have sandwiches. I feel if this happens, when booking an email should be sent out to let people know so they have the choice of cancelling before they actually arrive to then find this out. Staff were friendly though but I would stay here again, especially not with a disability.

Good bunch of staff that are helpful and run a tidy hotel.. Get a Suite or downstairs room at the back of the hotel if you like it quiet!

Do NOT stay at this hot, especially at weekends No food. More like B&B than a hotel. My worst BW experience, EVER!

Really dated room with a weird old smell. Cut stay short because it was so grim. Service was pleasant though so can't fault that.
