The Queen Victoria Hotel

Reception was friendly and welcoming, room was clean and spacious, bathroom was clean. The room developed a leak from the ceiling (suspected from room upstairs shower) and although they obviously couldn't fix it there and then, they put measures in place to contain it. We had a ground floor close to main door, which is where the smoking area was located, the same person was stood there having a loud conversation on their phone every other hour, and although this was out of the control of the hotel it did affect our stay, maybe they should introduce a smoking shelter away from the building.

Really enjoyed our stay, staff were really friendly and had a good laugh with them. Rooms are basic but you get what you pay for. They were clean and tidy so that’s all that matters. Also loved the fact of them having there own bar open until 3am. Love to come back and stay with you if I’m in the area.

It's really rundown hotel. No clean, Bathroom are badly smelling. Room it's really bad. no safety no clean
carpet are dirty
no hot water in the shower and basin.
so expensive hotel.
perception is saying don't keep any credit card, phone or any cash in to the room
i think council have to go and inspect the hotel.

I arrived into Wolverhampton after a long exhausting day at Dublin airport. To find there were issues with my reservation at another hotel. I tried a few more places that were all booked. One manager called here and told them about me " a damsel in distress." My knight in shiny armor gave me a room. Super friendly staff and a comfortable bed. A true value for my pounds. This place met all my hotel needs. Forever grateful for their kindness to this stranger on a cold dark night.

The beds and bedding were very nice and comfortable.
However, the shower did not work, so I couldn't shower and as there was no plug in the bath I couldn't bath either. Considering that I paid an extra £20 to have an en-suite room, this was unacceptable. The blinds did not close properly, and as the room was at the front of the building, and the ground floor, I had to move around in the dark otherwise everyone on the street would have seen into the room.
Quite disappointing really.

Clean, somewhat friendly but very tired and cold. No extra blankets and the heating was not working in our room. Not ensuite. Bed uncomfortable, no nets on windows and overlooked by house next door. Kept awake by noise from other drunken guests returning at all hours. Would not stay again and certainly not on my own.

As if being charged a £50 cleaning fee for apparent vomit in our room (funny, I don’t remember vomiting of smelling vomit...) which apparently includes £20 for replacement towels (I doubt it, cheap and small towels) wasn’t bad enough, the way the staff spoke to us left little to be desired. The keycards kept constantly not working. We were blamed for keeping them next to our phones. When we informed them that they were in our wallets, we were told our bank cards had wiped the keycards?? That’s a new one on me. Also the staff member walking us to our door and using the new key card going “Well it works now.” In a rude tone was unnecessary too. Generally the most unpleasant hotel experience I’ve ever had.

Worst hotel ever. So stinky and there is no scene of cleaning staff or reception at all.. Went like hundreds of time but nobody was at the reception. Even at the time of checkout we had to leave our keys at the reception. Stayed there for 4 nights and got the bedding change once that too after we finally could see a cleaner and called her. Even then she didn't use hover at all.. Im so glad we only booked and paid for 4 days though our stay is for about 2 weeks.
Not at all recommended.
