Travelodge Ipswich

Actually probably the best Travelodge I've stayed at in several years, most have become very shabby but I was pleasantly surprised. Everything was in good condition and I slept well.

Just beware when I found it on the net it showed it was air conditioned but it wasn't, thankfully it was only 22c the day we stayed but I can imagine if it was 30c+ the room would be rather warm.

We had a lovely view of the marina

The Travelodge is a perfectly functional hotel for the centre of Ipswich with easy access to the vibrant marina area. Nice view of the marina from my room but the downside being that it also overlooked a noisy road with a lit of commercial traffic. While the room was excellent value and clean, the noise meant I slept badly. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Staff was very welcoming, service with a smile, room was adequate for the duration of the stay as only used as a place to rest as was visiting relatives. Only thing bad we learned was don't put key card near phones as can disable the card. But got rectified. Will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Twenty minute walk from station and a walk from most bus services but doable, city easy to get around, hotel near the water front.
Unfortunately the room absolutely stunk of something, and had we not checked in gone straight out then got in at 11 and left at 8.30 I would of asked to changed rooms. We left the window open whilst out which didn't help.
On arrival, 5 minutes in a member of staff tried getting in our room which we had locked, a good job to. Makes me wonder if they had finished cleaning the room before handing it over.
I would never stay here again anyway and having been in the Hilton Wembley the night before it certainly felt like going from 5 stars to 1.

My expectations were low and unfortunately unmet. Expectations were to have a comfy bed and TV. Bed was okay but TV reception was constantly breaking-up to the point of being unwatchable. First world problem, second class hotel. Best avoided unless you're just looking to pay the lowest possible room rate.

Friendly staff, nice food in the hotel restaurant including breakfast too, Had a nice double room overviewing the Ipswich marina and only 10 minute walk into the town centre. Booked this hotel many time and Nothing in the past or present haven’t had a problem and will definitely return in the future.

It was ok night stay. However sink in the bathroom was blocked 🚫 toilet wasn’t flushing properly and no toilet brush. When shower was off the water was still dripping all night.
£2 car park on site, great! Right next to the marina and 15 minute walk into town centre so not too bad.
Had a decent night sleep, so not complaining.
Overall probably the worst Travelodge I stayed in.
I would recommend sealing windows as cold/freezing draft and noise coming through.

Room ok no shower gel and windows need sound proofing but all clean and good
