The Sid Valley Country House Hotel is an incredibly special place to stay. We had the warmest of welcomes from Sarah, Steve, and Benson. Nothing was too much trouble, and the attention to detail in the accommodation was fantastic. This is a perfect place for nature lovers, and bird watchers to come and stay. The views are stunning, beds are comfortable, and self catering lodges are spacious and well designed. Highly recommended, cant wait to come back.

We have stayed at the Sid Valley twice this year and have been delighted by the first class welcome, the cleanliness and luxury of the bedrooms. The garden and pool were lovely too and Steve and Sarah treated us like long lost family which made the stay all the better. If you’re lucky enough to get Steve to cook the food is excellent too. Hopefully they’ll have us back again very soon!

A very warm welcome in this lovely small country hotel. In a beautiful valley with large grounds. Delicious home cooked dinner and breakfast.

Fantastic! Sarah and Steve made us feel so welcome - nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is beautifully kept - everything is sparkling clean and in good repair. The quality and variety of the breakfast was amazing , and we ate dinner a couple of times and had sandwiches at lunch. All food was first class! The rooms were spacious and comfortable , the swimming pool was heated and clean. Overall a fabulous experience and we will definitely return.

We booked in very last minute and found this beautiful hotel! It’s set in stunning scenery, very peaceful, lovely outdoor pool and delicious breakfast. The owners, Sarah and Steve are very friendly and welcoming and we would definitely recommend this hotel.

Lovely views and heated open air pool, comfy beds, very good breakfast. But very expensive for what it was - £10 for a pot of tea for two is too much and felt like they were taking advantage. Dinner also very overpriced. Perhaps they've lost the chef as some rate the food as 'outstanding' - it wasn't. Much better value to be found in Sidmouth.

Bootiful scenery. Staff very welcoming. Got a shot of some rare whisky on the house, more that one shot. Arrived after having forgotten my swimming trunks and got given one by the boss son.
Food was good as well. Overall very nice, was able to set up my shisha pipe by the poolside.

Went self catering 😊 in the Carriages. Clean tidy, well thought out & presented place to stay.
Beautiful views & Great walks. Onsite swimming pool & restaurant (need to book).
Would definitely go back.
Thank you Sarah, Stephen & Team. XOXO
