Very clean and modern hotel with all the expected basic facilities with no frills.
Bed and sheets clean and comfortable, but the room was very warm in the morning.
My room 208 was right across from the stairs / lift so the noise in the morning was a bit disruptive.
The early glass bin collection also woke me at 0630 but breakfast was plentiful and hot with lots of options and available tables.
Easily accessible from major roads.
Car park was very busy on my late arrival but found one space. Most had left before 0830.

Booked the Holiday Inn Express for the first time as our daughter has recently moved to Lichfield, and it won't be the last!
We booked 2 rooms, one for ourselves and another for our son and family who were visiting from Abu Dhabi. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay despite the heatwave and no aircon in the rooms!! Fans were provided and suggestions on how to keep ourselves cool. Our bed was huge and comfortable. The standard of cleanliness was good.Breakfast was varied, well cooked and hot.
The staff here were so friendly, especially on reception and should be commended on their welcome and home from home approach.
Well done Holiday Inn, we will certainly be back.
My scores would be higher...if only there had been aircon!

I chose this hotel because it was an 8 minute drive from the place I was to visit. It was 10 minutes drive from Lichfield town centre. There is a bus X3 that runs on the main road near the hotel except Sundays. We had a room on the ground floor. It was suitable for a wheelchair user. The bathroom had a walk in shower. The shower was easy to understand & adjust. Shower gel was in a dispenser on the wall near the shower and liquid hand soap in a dispenser over the sink. Clean pristine white towels. An iron and ironing board . Tea & coffee making facilities in the room. If you ran out of tea coffee milk or sugar there was some in glass jars at the reception desk. Breakfast was ok. Sausages and bacon were in good supply if you like that. I assume if one asked they could get a cooked vegan or vegetarian breakfast. The kitchen was near the reception. That was so nice. When we walked in we could smell food so after we checked in & put our baggage away we went to the restaurant and ordered pizza. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Would definitely stay again.

We had a great stay. The whole hotel was very clean and comfortable. We were welcomed warmly by all staff with a special mention for Carl who helped us get checked in. Our dog was made welcome too - very dog friendly. Breakfast was from 6.30 - 9.30 and was tasty and catered for vegans. A good selection of food available all day. We sat in the bar area for a few drinks and pizza in the evening and it was nice to see other guests enjoying this space too. Would highly recommend to all.

Room was brilliant, nice bed, shower etc. Breakfast was good though it was decided to change to a continental breakfast mid way into my stay which was OK. The bar.......no last orders called, would not serve residents after 23.00, the older male staff member was a tad abrupt about not serving drinks, could not even charge them to a room. A bit disappointing after a long day at work, very poor really. For me I'd look elsewhere for decent service.

We had a 2 night stay to meet up with friends, and the bar area was acceptable. The room was exceptionally clean but the bed was rather small (we are an average sized couple) and the 4 pillows were too soft / not enough choice. The breakfast was fresh and well cooked but would have been better if the hot food had more vegetarian options. All the staff were helpful but Laura definitely added that 100% customer care

I've basically lived here for the last 3 months working away from home. I can't praise the staff enough. Always a friendly face on reception, they go above and beyond, making you feel welcome. Room is always clean and comfortable. Highly recommend. Huge thanks to all staff.

We booked this to celebrate our anniversary, however my partner proposed so it became our engagement night away. They allowed my partner to decorate the room which made our stay even more amazing. The breakfast was great as always and was being constantly topped up.
