Whiteley Mill Hotel

Lovely hotel. Good size rooms, clean and good car park. Enjoyed my visit.

Stayed here recently look nice from the outside and first impression look good but remember the saying don’t judge a book my it’s cover. Attention to detail including cleaning is missing.

Decent enough value. Was a bit strange having nobody on reception, the key box was quite hard to open. Strange location for the switch for the bathroom extractor fan.

I was unsure when I booked this because it was unmanned however it was lovely. It was secure, well thought-out with key boxes and door codes. The room was lovely and clean, even came with little kettle and a selection of teas and coffee and considering it was a Saturday night I stayed it was nice and quiet. There was a folder with emergency numbers to call - just in case - with taxi information and restaurant information too. Plus there is a large Aldi literally 3 minutes walk down the road.

Easy to access / check-in. Room two billion degrees, not very clean, smelt of cigarettes and the furniture was somewhat rickety but the bed was comfy and the shower was hot.
Won’t be going back but it served a purpose.

Room was a good price and clean and fresh, however as there are no staff on site the younger guests were unruly and loud. Got woken by girl having a drunken conversation on her phone right outside our room at 2.17am. Shower door needs a good clean where limescale has built up due to soap residue.

Ideally located for what I had planned for the weekend as my friends are local. Quiet at night (mostly). Room was spotless, except for there was tea spilt down the wall from a previous guest which was disappointing to see.
Check in was very easy and instructions sent via email and text message.
Free parking was a bonus
Close to pubs and sister hotel/pub over road and reasonably priced drinks.
En suite was clean- shower pressure ws not great but just meant I had to stay in for a bit longer!
Good value for what I paid and would stay again purely for location.
Was disappointed as on checking out there was a strong smell of cannabis- this is probably the only downfall of there not being staff on site all the time. That was the only downfall for me and other people checking out when I did commented on the same.
