A magical place to stay - after just 24 hours I feel refreshed, relaxed and restored. Every detail is so considered - calming interiors, luxurious organic bathroom products, morning and evening meditation downloads in the room, exquisite food and drink choices, beautiful gardens and plenty of cosy nooks to sit and enjoy. The morning lake swim followed by yoga and a walk around the Castle Ashby grounds sets you up nicely for lunch and a lazy afternoon on the sunny terrace.

Unfortunately we were not guests at the hotel which I believe is lovely and set within fantastic surroundings. We had the pleasure to experience the restaurant. The food was reasonable however the service was below standard. Staff were polite but the timing it took to be served drinks and waiting for the food to arrive after ordered was not what I expected. For the time of day we went and the amount of staff that was around we did except service to be quicker than it was. We hope that it was just an off day however the location is beautiful.

Absolutely wonderful !!!
Upon arriving, the staff were some of the most pleasant people I've ever come across. The friendliness felt genuine and I was made to feel very welcome when being shown my room and the facilities.
Amazing location. I felt more than safe and felt more than comfortable with leaving my car across the car park overnight - very few hotels achieved this from experience!
But honestly, thank you very much to the staff and if I ever need to stay in the Northampton area again, I'm coming back here!

Had an overnight stay so we could experience the Yoga and open water swimming and we were not disappointed. Immaculately clean, staff attentive and friendly, bar and restaurant facilities excellent. We choose the fish and chips as a bar meal and had a very full breakfast in the morning. Great location for walking and shopping at the small retail outlet opposite who also had great cafe. Local produce, vegan diets catered for and an experience we would gladly repeat.

This place has some real potential.
Afternoon tea need to be scarpped and researched as to my feedback at checking out go to the Falcon in Uppingham, the George in Stamford, Coombe Abbey, get a real taste of afternoon tea experience, they did say kitchen getting redone in January and to try again then (I personally would of not charged us for the afternoon or gave us vouchers to try at the end of January to see if it had changed, custor service satisfactory not meet there for me )
Room were quaint, could do with coat hooks in room 21, also plug in wardrobe for kettle as coffe and tea station on tray In wardrobe guess to then move to dressing table when needed bit of a palaver.
ALAIN is amazing massage therapist, I felt very safe with him, 1000 % have massage with him he really was the highlight of my stay. Very calming and knowledgeable.
The surrounding beautiful, bar food yummy as was breakfast but why has baked beans been banned from breakfast 😂 (they are at one with the English traditions breakfast since 1901)
50/50 if I come again

I love this place! The staff are lovely, the Bar staff were super friendly and had great personalities. The food and wine were excellent. The hotel all around was beautiful, clean and spacious. Our room was lovely! We stayed in room No.3, which was beautiful. Slight struggle trying to work out the heating system, but Lorraine was helpful and efficient at reception.
We hope that it was just an off day however the location is beautiful.
