Stayed here for 3 nights, in order to explore the Yorkshire 3 peaks. The hosts and staff were fantastic, they couldn't do enough to make our stay as relaxed as possible.
We also ate there every night, selecting something different from the menu each time. Every meal was spot on, the flavours, the portion size, nothing could be faulted. And as for the breakfasts! Superb, quality ingredients that set us up for the day.
Can highly recommend this place, great value for money and awesome service.

Had a lovely lunch here today, great food and service. We are staying locally and we're looking for a good watering hole and it looks like we found it. We arrived at the hotel at 3.15, food service finished at 2.30 but the chef kindly agreed to cook lunch for us. Brilliant staff!.

Lovely location for a long weekend to explore the Yorkshire dales. Pub is very welcoming and comfortable and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Food is extremely good quality especially the steak. Unfortunately our twin room was very very small and would class it as more a large single and not worth the £100 per night charged. Everything ie kettle, cups, glasses, biscuits, tray, remote for TV menus and instructions were all stacked up on one tallboy as no room for anything with trailing cables all over, not very safe. A great place for a weekend although on the main route through to Skipton and lake District so very busy, take earplugs.

Large roadside pub with wonderful eclectic decor with lovely wood panelling, excellent food offering including great veggie options, disabled access, and a good selection of mainly local real ales. Opening times vary daily so best to check.

Fabulous place to stay and will most definitely go back. Very friendly, polite and helpful people. Our room was warm, spotless in fact the whole place was. Tea, coffee and biscuits in the room was a nice touch and the shower.... well it was a generous sized cubicle, good hot water and nice and powerful. We've found in some places they can be on the smaller side, barely a trickle and luke warm so this was a very welcome surprise! The food was well priced, very good size portions and absolutely delicious. The cooked breakfast is one of the best we've had. Little gem of a place 👌

I’ve just returned from a 2 night stay, the hosts were very welcoming, I was travelling by motorcycle, they made room for it in a secure area and undercover.
The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were very filling and quality produce.
The restaurant seems very popular with locals.

Having found this place on the off-chance tge other month when passing through looking for a Sunday lunch before Christmas, we loved it so much we said it was going to be our go to place for food when travelling from Kendal to Lincoln to visit family. We stopped yesterday (Saturday) on the way back home and was doubtful if we'd get seated but we did. Yet again a really warm welcome and the food didn't disappoint, in fact it confirmed our initial thoughts. Highly recommend and we will definitely make it our go to place.
