Really enjoyed a short stay here. Staff friendly, helpful and very accommodating. Spitting distance from Ben Hope, the most northerly Munro in Scotland, set next to a loch and surrounded by dramatic landscape. Food was great, bedrooms rustic but comfortable and everything one would expect from a remote Scottish hotel. Will visit again for sure.

Bizarre dinner here. It seemed we were trying our luck to eat, despite having booked in by email weeks before. Our meal arrived about an hour after ordering and everything we asked for seemed like an imposition. Beautiful setting and tasty food however. Needs more staff.

Came by here just for a desperate coffee along the route, couldn’t believe what a warm welcome we got by the staff!! Absolutely amazing hospitality, even just to receive a coffee “to go”. Very very nice people and beautiful cosy place to stay.

** French-Press Coffee in a Rustic Setting **
Popped in for a rest stop. Great coffee and delicious pastries. Impressive trophies mounted on the walls.

Walked into a plumbing disaster this time. The floor was up and standing water on show between the gaps.
One lady (Morag, who did a spectacular job of looking after everyone) on duty which was not enough.
It was all a bit Fawlty Towers this stay, no water at all for a shower in the morning but the hotel itself is utterly charming.
Heck of a drive to get there and very remote, which is actually part of the charm.
