The Green Hotel

A dated hotel needing a fair amount of work done on interior. The reception area seems to be up to date or recently renovated. The grounds outside are well kept and make for pleasant scenery. The room we had was a good sized room with high ceiling and a decent sized bathroom. The bed was solid though. Really the biggest disappointment of the visit as I struggled to get a good night's sleep. The corridor outside the room always seemed to be warm and given the window was open the entire time I assume there is some kind of plumbing/heating issue at that part of the hotel. Having the window open 24/7 is causing issues with flies and cobwebs in that area. The restaurant also appears to have been renovated recently and is a pleasant place for a meal. The staff are polite and professional and were helpful when asked. Kinross doesn't have much in it but the hotel seems to be uses mostly by golfers as the hotel is part of a golf business. We travelled up to Perth for the day which was a short half hour drive and plenty to do up there. The Loch can be nice but cannot guarantee the weather.

Our golf society stayed for our annual tournament. The food was excellent and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Both golf courses are across the road and were a good challenge.
The bar in the hotel is ideal for watching sports.
There are parts of the hotel that are tired, but the hotel is currently renovating so will be fixed in due course.
For the money we paid, I would highly recommend.

Enjoyable dinner, bed & breakfast. Great service, restaurant staff first class both in the evening & morning. Room was spacious, clean & tidy, could do with some updates but noticed there was refurbishment in process in other areas of the hotel. I would certainly recommend and will return in the future.

Really like this hotel . It has character and went there for many years . Suffered through pandemic and it shows . Has been slightly revamped recently . Favourite area is the central courtyard which is nice to sit and enjoy in the summer. It is not 5 star but it is different. Pleasant stop off if in Kinross.

Room very dated and cold, also placement of the TV and kettle requires a rethink. Needed to leave the additional electric heater on all evening. Food menu, normal pub grub and a good selection of local beer and gin in the bar. Music venue at Backstage was our reason for staying, and the hotel must really benefit from the live music on site.

Lovely place and very nice staff. Like a lot of places they're obviously having to tackle major issues caused by the Covid pandemic and the subsequent fall out. But they're also, clearly, trying their hardest to continue to offer a first class service to their paying customers and are are doing so. The room was excellent, as was the breakfast. The bar service was also of a very high standard and the evening meals on offer there were plentiful, tasty and very good value for money. I'd thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Popped in for lunch. Many years since we last visited. Restaurant/Bar area was clean and tidy. Staff were in abundance and very good. My fish and chips was excellent. Wife's soup very good. Reasonable prices. Would be happy to go back.

My experience of The Green is from being a local and handy venue for coffee and catching up with friends.
Good parking, choice of seating from the relaxing lounge, comfortable bar or the more open reception area. Disabled parking has 2 spaces, also, 2 x electric car charging points are available.
Staff are welcoming, accommodating and friendly. Coffees come with a welcome shortbread biscuit, lovely.
