A lot of work has gone into the renovation of this building (ex pub). Fresh decor. Living areas are a good size. The food is really good. Reasonably priced. Suffers from limited on-street parking, but there is parking in the surrounding area. Ideal for large group overnight parties.

Wow. Loved this place and I think I'll be back here some day! There were 15 to 19ish of us over two nights. We paid around £130 each midweek. Very comfortable large sitting room could accommodate all of us. Fabulous bar with plenty room to dine and disco! Rooms were decorated to a high standard, though ours I think was the only one still on the list to be done. Even so, it was comfortable and cosy, with a ensuite. You can see a huge amount of improvement have been done to this place. There's a spa section with sauna and steam room, and you can have treatments too. I have a massage. It was fabulous. Food all home cooked. There's a hot tub!! A big plus was our host Kelly who's relaxed nature and efficiency made me feel at home from the start. There's not a designated car park. However, we parked in Burns Rd and I'd say it took no more than one minute to walk to the front door. Pleasantly surprised that parking really wasn't an issue.

Brilliant place. Lovely rooms and bathrooms, Molton brown toiletries and a spa all to yourself. Great place to celebrate with friends as has its own bar that you can BYOB. Worked out £160pp for the whole weekend including accommodation, all meals and spa treatments. Comfy beds, gorgeous bedrooms even had USB sockets in them all. Worth every penny. Book it - you won’t regret it

So it was okay. We attended as a hen party. I didn't book it but I can say that the Friday - Sunday all in cost me £300 and there were 15 of us staying.

Pros
Breakfast was delicious and the Manager Kelly seemed very lovely!
The sofas in the living room were incredibly comfy!
The steam room, sauna and hot tub really make the facility.
There's a shop a few doors down which has anything you might have forgotten.
Our double + bunk bed room was comfy!
The decor is nice.
The robes provided in the rooms were cosy.
Spacious drinks fridges in the bar area.
And big fridge freezer in the kitchen 2 dishwashers and a washing machine.
The little BBQ hut looked awesome but we hadn't actually paid for it so it was locked.
It's big enough that 15 of us never felt cramped or on top of one another.

Cons
There's no secure parking and 4 of our party has their cars vandalised while parked on the street at the weekend.
Not all the rooms are ensuite.
The bathroom on the middle floor servicing 4 bedrooms didn't seem to have any hot water.
The windows REALLY needed cleaned.
The soap/shampoo etc dispensers were needing filled up (sounds petty but some were half empty others pretty much empty)
Theres no TV. There is a projector on the ceiling but all the wires seemed to have been cut.
We struggled to find cleaning materials and ended up buying them from the shop.

All in not sure I would recommend it as such but it wasn't awful

Stayed here with my family for a reunion. Amazing space, thermal facilities take it to another level. Spacious and comfortable bedrooms ensured we all slept well. The bar /dining room was the hub for our stay, great space. We booked the catering and spa package, was well worth the money! Kelly was an exceptional host and made sure we were well catered to, no one went hungry.

Me and my partner, where looking for a getaway to relax and rewind, I came across the golden crown spa and it’s definitely a hidden gem, I would definitely recommend the golden spa suite for a relaxing time away, as it’s such a lovely place in a small village near ayr, Kelly who is the manager is lovely and very help, the spa it’s self was like a wow factor as me and my partner where lost for words when we seen how spacious the spa suite was, as it’s very spacious for a couple, a family even for friends that want to get away for a weekend to relax, the thermal suite has a steam room, sauna and hot tub which is really relaxing and it’s in the apartment so no need to go out side at anytime to use the thermal room, they also offer treatments from a trained therapist which I would recommend to feel relaxed as we had our treatments on the last day and we both felt relaxed and refreshed, there is also a lovely tea room 5 min walk which sells lovely food and also a shop, take away and also a pub within very close walking distance.

Brilliant little hidden gem of a place with managers that were more than happy to help with anything we needed. The place is amazing the kids had an absolute ball and we're going back asap.
