I booked my family of 4 in for the two course lunch. We were seated quickly and had our drinks and food orders taken.
Food came fairy quick, it was ok, I had the beef brisket, was a bit dry and not a great deal of favour in the sauce.
We then waited for 20 minutes after our plates had been taken away for a dessert menu, it didn't come, couldn't see any of the staff members but I did notice that all the other tables around us were served their desserts. After another 5mins I went to find someone to get the bill as I was fed up of waiting, we had been in the venue for over an hour and had only had our main.
I found a group of staff members all stood around the bar (in the next room) having a chat.
When I complained that we had been waiting over 20 minutes, it seemed to be dismissed and I was met with the excuse that they were short staffed and very busy (at this point there was only a few tables with guess still on them and as I've mentioned all staff members were having chat around the bar).
I paid for the food we had eaten but refused to may for the 10% service charge they add to the bill as we didn't receive the service I was being charged for.
I was very disappointed with the service here and it put a bit of a damper on the beginning of our afternoon. I wouldn't recommend this place and I won't be bringing my family there again.

Lovely experience. Great view, good service. Crisp, cool champagne.
Good food, but not all great. Delicious risotto, for example, but rather meagre sea bass accompaniment.
But I'd return without hesitation, given how enjoyable our lunch was, as a whole.

We visited for lunch before going onto Portmerion. A beautiful castle with a lovely summer room as a dining area. Service was excellent as was the food. We chose the two course option which then gave us free tickets to Port Merion. Great value.

Not great. Starters were not particularly hot; brushcetta bread barely toasted and quite soft, and garlic mushrooms also not very hot, chorizo with the scallops was burnt to a crisp. Steak was very good and couldn’t fault. Some mistakes were made with the bill and charged wrong but we couldn’t be bothered to argue. Never received change from paying with cash, tip is included with bill and as we had already been over charged we did want the £4. But they were busy and didn’t want the fuss, own fault here I guess. Staff were friendly and pleasant.

Amazing service and great food.. Room was beautiful, we stayed in the Castle Penthouse. A few small touch-ups could be made, but overall very nice indeed..

Everything was, simply top notch from the moment we met until we left. Great compliments from the hotel to the rooms. Great chef at the departures! Everything was very tasty, the serving was a joy to behold. The prices are reasonable. Friendly waitress girls. Polite, welcoming reception staff! We had a superior room with a large bed. Clean, white linen. The room has everything you need. Towels were changed everyday. The room was warm and the bed was very comfortable. Everyone else for the hospitality and a great weekend! We will come again for sure!
