Overall a great stay.
We had a gatehouse room no. 10 with garden. Pleasnt. Inoffensive decor. Lacks personslity. Very clean on day 1

Downside: Our room / batroom was not cleaned daily. Ditto mugs. Frustrating to come back to dirty towles on the bathroom floor and used mugs. Once we asked for a clean it was done spotlessly. Cant fault it.

The bed was a small double. Not quite big enough for us to enjoy a deep sleep. Comfortable matress though which is appreciated.

Nice to have the private bit of garden.

I think other rooms at Lastra would have suited us better had they been available.

Fantastic breakfast. Good restaurant menu for dinner. Wonderful, happy, efficient and helpful staff. Nothing is too much bother.

Would stay again.

Booked a table for a meal to celebrate our anniversary and hubbies birthday.
The food was first class, excellent.
The staff were also excellent. Extremely friendly and helpful.
We have been here many times and will continue to visit there. Lovely friendly place. We would recomend to anyone.

Lovely restaurant in a beautiful location with excellent, friendly service. Gluten free options available with staff knowledgeable about cross contamination. Nothing was too much for them. Food was amazing. Would definitely recommend

Beautiful restaurant and accommodation in a beautiful setting. Excellent food, beautiful dining areas, warm and comfortable, excellent, friendly proprietor and staff. Had the most beautiful large family dinner here for a celebration and can not praise highly enough the quality of food, service, comfort and the attention to detail from the proprietor and all staff.
Highly recommended.
Thank you all.

Stayed just two nights, we would have liked to stay longer, in room 10 at the gatehouse. Room spotless and lovely, I think just enough character, and more personalisation might have been over the top.

Ate in the restaurant one of the nights, food was absolutely delicious. Service was excellent, attentive but not intrusive. Staff very knowledgeable about food allergies. Breakfast was similarly wonderful, and as we were on holiday we wanted leisure time, so breakast service time really gave us that (we didn't go for breakfast until 9:30 both mornings).

Owners and staff extremely cheerful and very welcoming, but it doesn't stop there, all the holiday residents were similarly friendly and chatty.

Would love to return at some point in the future.

We went for Dinner (we didn't stay) so this review is for that.
We had delicious food - Crab Mornay and Chicken with a Tarragon Sauce with plenty of fresh vegetables. It was hot, beautifully presented and tasted great.
We had Lemon Curd and Double Chocolate Ice Cream for pud and it was delicious.
Daniel and Lois served us and they were professional but friendly.

Treated for Sunday lunch with family. Soup and calamari for starters followed by turkey and beef dinner with parsnips and roasties, stuffing, pig in blanket and gravy on the plate, with red cabbage, cauliflower cheese and a mix of carrots peas and mange tout and a gravy boat with extra gravy. And if that wasn't enough, we hadlemon meringue and chocolate brownie for dessert! I'm only sorry I didn't take photos to post here. Delicious! We'd never been but we'll definitely be back! Thank you.
