Having paid £250 each for 2 rooms with dinner we were looking forward to a nice weekend. Unfortunately a wedding being hosted by the hotel took over. Incredible noise by drunken guests shouting along corridors, staff did nothing to stop this. The wedding wasn’t contained to the function room so dinner was ruined by the guests walking through the restaurant with no control by staff. Staff seemed to be inexperienced and under trained. Chowder was sent back and subsequently taken off the menu as it tasted off. Furniture broken in rooms. Bins not emptied and full from previous guests. An opened bottle of water left for us. Wi-Fi not working on Saturday, only started to work on checkout. Tired rooms, should not have been priced at this level. Staff failed to deal with my complaint, complacent sloppy attitude.

What an amazing hotel. It's a few minutes walk from Llangollen centre. Plenty of free parking. Fantastic rooms. We got a great offer to upgrade & stayed in a suite which was well worth the extra. Tasty food, friendly staff. I'd highly recommend this hotel.

Loved every minute here. Staff were so welcoming and helpful.
Whole hotel was spotlessly clean. The spa was great and very relaxing.
Dined in the restaurant, which was fantastic and reasonably priced.
Choice for breakfast seemed unlimited. Again the staff in the restaurants were so friendly.
Can't wait to go back

My wife had arranged as a birthday surprise a Spa Treatment and lunch package. We arrived at 0945hrs receptionist was lovely and polite, showed us to the bar area to wait for the Spa to open at 10. We were NOT however informed that the Steam Room wasn't working, nor was there hot water to the poolside shower. The pool itself was freezing, commented on by more than one guest. The emergency panic button on the poolside wasnt working either.

On to the massage, we had a joint couple
Treatment, it was that cold that one of the therapist wore her fleece throughout our treatment. The relaxing music was rather too loud and at no point was I asked by my therapist if the pressure was sufficient. It was more an annoying stroke rather than a relaxing massage.

HOWEVER the gentleman in the bar area was brilliant, polite, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We felt though he was running around trying to do everything at once. Could have done with help.

A disappointing visit and end to my birthday weekend.

Whilst the room was big and comfortable the bathroom was in desperate need of sorting out, broken tiles, bath screen didn't sit on the bath properly and taps loose. This is not what I expect for the money.
In the restaurant we were told we couldn't eat until 7.45 as they were busy but on arrival half the tables were laid up with nobody on them and it had been like that for over a hour as we sat in the bar waiting.
When the food came it was tasty but the soup was tepid when we brought this to the attention of the waitress she apologized but never offered a solution the main was very much the same.
We were quite surprised that we could only have a hour in the spa with our booking and any additional hours would cost a extra fee.
Anyone looking to visit here I'd advise you to save your money and look for a alternative.

Rooms were warm and good quality bedding. Bath in the twin room we had. Quite a bit of black mould on windows but this may be due to the time of year. We had dinner which was very nice, Welsh cheeseboard was delicious. Very helpful, kind reception staff.

We got cancellations and postpone twice only one day notice. Not really first impression as it is hard to book on weekend and we have to cancel some plan to suitable for the booking.
Service was lovely.
Spa facilities really old and a bit dirty in toilet.
We bought the voucher including lunch buy the menu really disappointed as it is only sandwiches and some salad.
Not recommended with the price as it is not worth it.
But the location is nice.
