Very friendly and attentive service throughout the hotel. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Excellent setting with superb views up the river valley.

Rooms have good facilities and large beds. We booked two rooms with views at the same price. The size of the two rooms was very different with one being 50% bigger than the other and had a sofa along with 2 armchairs.

Our bathroom really needed an update with cracked floor tiles and paintwork was below standard.

Would score at 4.5 if I could and would stay again if I could select rooms.

Lovely big double room. Plenty of wardrobe space and drawers for storage. Great shower enclosure plus separate bath. TV plus tea and coffee making facilities. The bar prices however are pricey

Stayed for one night. We found the staff extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The room was spacious, clean and had stunning views of the river and countryside. It has a fantastic restaurant and the food was excellent and I would put this up with the best. Thank you for a wonderful short break.

The hotel is situated in a narrow valley adjacent to the river Conwy. Extremely picturesque with well manicured lawns. All rooms and general decor were up to excellent standards. Wheelchair access via ramp to middle floor directly from road. The hotel states on their website, that presently they are understaffed (July 2022) however all staff we met during our stay, were polite and helpful. Unusually for this time of the year we had to endure very high temperatures in the mid 30s C
That didn't stop the Gardner/ handyman from strimng in those temperatures !
Negatives ? The vegetarian breakfast was extremely poor, the scrambled egg was watery, and the rest of the breakfast uninspiring perhaps the heat got to the chef?

Great location in a very sedate area, just off the main road and about 5 minutes walk to village centre.

Beautiful river views from the back of the Hotel and whilst there is apparently a hot-tub available they ARE NOT available in every room which is what the website seemed to suggest.

Establishment is quite dated and the beds & rooms could benefit from being brought up to date although they are in keeping with the era & character of the building.

Staff were pleasant and overall a very nice & relaxing break.

Just held our sons Christening afternoon tea here. Absolutely amazing location with stunning scenery and backdrop for our photos. Food and cake selection was excellent and plentiful. The staff helped make the day, and were very attentive throughout. The room was laid out lovely with food/drink served quickly. Would like to say a big thank you to all involved. Hghly recommend an afternoon visit for food and drink or stay for a weekends retreat to make the most of the beautifully kept grounds and views.
