Tal Y Don Hotel

Very clean and the staff go out of the way to make sure you have a good stay. Room could do with a little TLC but bathroom clean and modern. Best spot out of all the hotels but no onsite car parking. Breakfast quality and cooked well but a little cold. Overall good value for money

Popped in to this pub this afternoon for a bite to eat and have to say we were pleasantly surprised with how excellent the quality of the food was! The burgers were topped with perfectly cooked bacon and plenty of wonderfully gooey cheddar. The combo and haloumi fries were plentiful and again of fantastic quality. The ingredients are fresh and tasty and the place clearly has an excellent chef. Kids choices of chicken chunks and pizza were just as terrific, no frozen rubbish there! Bar staff were friendly and the service was of a high standard. Quality pub to go to for some well cooked, hearty food. Highly recommended.

The Staff are very friendly and attentive, always there to assist in any way . The bar is frequented by both locals and visitors and the atmosphere is vary amiable. The establishment offer rooms to let ,We didn't use them so I can't comment on the standard ,there is a very good outdoor seating area which is good for relaxing in on a bright,dry day.

Didn't stay over so don't know about the rooms, lovely pub with beautiful view from the rear beer garden. Love the pods people can sit in. Staff really welcoming and friendly.
Enjoyed the visits to the pub. Dog Friendly which is brilliant as we visited when Patch was alive.

Food is amazing, best vegan shepherds pie I’ve ever eaten! And the vegan Sunday roast was just delicious and all served piping hot. Staff couldn’t do enough for us, even made my elderly mom a cuppa even though they don’t usually serve tea on a Sunday. For good value, great tasting food, you won’t beat the Tal Y Don.

Really enjoyed our stay, staff fantastic and great sense of humour. Good value for money. Evening meals were excellent. Only negative was the really steep stairs to first floor.

Stopped here for lunch today and had a lovely meal for a good price. The service was excellent and it made all the difference. Loads of fries with our food and a lovely salad too. Definitely will be back.
