Holiday Inn Express Swansea - East, an IHG Hotel

Staff are lovely. Very clean especially rooms; cleaned every day. Good breakfast. Ice and useful microwave in lobby. Only thing to let it and most other hotel chains down is there is no outside seating unless you are a smoker. The weather was lovely and it would have been nice to sit out with a drink or food.

The Hotel itself was lovely, clean & comfortable. Staff were extremely polite & welcoming. Unfortunately 1 dissapointment was when we arrived at breakfast there was no hot food only toast, cereal & a limited variety of fruit. I personally feel when you state breakfast is included, You should state it's continental as when you go on your website at present it states It's Fresh, It's Hot & It's Included.

We found the hotel to be extremely clean, the staff so helpful and friendly. I am dairy intolerant and they couldn't have been more obliging. We asked once about alternative milk and every morning it was there in with all the breakfast stuff, I didn't have to ask. There was also an allergens list up in a prominent place and I did not have to continually ask. Everyone we met from reception, to breakfast staff, to the room workers were so friendly and helpful. I always have a teddy bear with me even though I am over 50 and every time we came back in the room, he had been sat nicely on our bed. It did make me smile. Will definitely be recommending this hotel.

Although this is part of a big chain, the service is something outstanding!!! We always arrive 10-12 of us, they let us order our own food into the restaurant area, they provide us with cutlery etc, also clean up afterwards. Absolutely stunning.
The rooms are well sized, spotlessly clean.
I wish this sort of service would be default in every hotel!

When we arrived at the hotel, I had booked a double bed and sofabed as I was staying with my teenage son (now classed an 'adult'). However, we were offered a double room as, though I'd booked the room with sofabed, no children were listed so it was assumed a double would be fine. When I explained, the receptionist offered a choice of a twin or the room we had booked. We chose the booked room and had to let them know when we were out at dinner so they could make up the sofabed. The staff were lovely about this and it wasn't a problem at all. All the facilities were clean and comfortable. In the morning, I needed something from reception and the lovely young woman was very helpful and provided a suitable alternative. Breakfast was nice, if a little limited eg only scrambled eggs available, no poached or fried, but it was fresh and plentiful and staff came to each table to let us know when breakfast was ending, in case we wanted anything more. A very pleasant stay, well-located with free parking too and every single staff member I spoke to was nice. I will be staying again as it was ideal for visiting Swansea Uni Bay campus (8 mins away by car)

We had originally booked another hotel, which was awful on arrival. We rang last minute to see if we could obtain a room for two nights, including our little dog, the reception staff were so helpful and wonderful as we're all staff members. Our little dog even received a little bag with a ball and treats in. The staff checked daily to see if we needed our room cleaning and the breakfast was wonderful. We will definitely be back.

We stayed over Xmas and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was busier than we thought it would be and, at times, the staff were run off their feet, but they still had a smile and were very nice and pleasant at all times. More than enough for breakfast, cooked, cereals etc, and the fastest coffee machine I've ever seen!

Stayed during a week long course In the area. My room was cleaned every day and towels etc replenished. Breakfast in a morning was good quality and fresh. Staff were friendly and accomodating. Nothing to complain about. Thanks
