We booked a meal here on a Tuesday evening. The food was served quickly despite the place being very busy with a function in the main restaurant. The lamb (see photo) was delicious and the chocolate brownie very light, not stodgy and heavy as usual. The staff were working very hard despite the heat. The atmosphere was welcoming with a quaint building and plenty of outdoor seating. Would definitely recommend.

This hotel really does not care about its customers, it serves Luke warm breakfast and the management are argumentative and don't help. If I was just buying a meal and a pint it would be different. This management should be changed, talking to locals I am told it has gone downhill. Told manager I would leave a review, he said do what you want nothing will happen.

Do yourself a favour and stay elsewhere. I run a hostel and bring families on holiday I was here to check out the service and I am glad I did, we won't be coming here, I will spend the money on another hotel.

The pictures of the rooms advertised online are nothing like the rooms that you get when you arrive, the place is tired, the decor is dated and there is mould in the showers. The room I was given at first was right outside the kitchen extractor.

The location, in the centre of Llandovery, is excellent for exploring the surrounding area. There appeared to be a motorcycle event on whilst we visited so lots of off-road bikes about.
The hotel itself is pretty old and well used but the food and staff are excellent. I particularly liked that there's a selection of nuts and seeds provided to supplement the cereals for breakfast, a nice touch and important for vegans.
The staff were keen to engage with visitors and ensure satisfaction.
I'm keen to return.

Like other comments before. Excellent food. Staff very helpful and friendly. Food is Superb. Lots of character here. Excellent choice of breakfast cereal. With nuts. Like home from home. Good luck and best wishes on your forthcoming marriage Loren. Thank you all

Stayed here a few years ago for dear friends wedding. Gorgeous wedding. Had always planned to return at some point in the future but just discovered that the hotel supports Fox Hunting. Won't be returning afterall...

Service a bit slow. We had Sunday lunch hear. Was the worst Sunday lunch I have ever had. Staff friendly and helpful. Long wait for food. (Probably due to understaffed??)
The Lamb roast was tasteless, think it had been boiled in water for 2 days. Vegetables was ok "ish" baked potatoes was slightly undercooked and not crispy, and tasted oily.

Room was nice but server (elderly lady short dark hair) told me they didn’t know price of a certain drink when bringing my food over. They cleared my empty drink and proceeded to walk away leaving me with a warm meal but with no drink. I had to line up behind 4 people then to order at the till leaving my £18 meal to go cold on the table. Poor service.
