First impressions, stay not yet complete but … amazingly relaxing exfoliating body scrub by Claire. My skin is silky soft and I’m looking forward to the rest of my stay. I feel pampered and well-looked after. On arriving at the hotel, the reception staff listened to my particular requirements regarding a quiet and peaceful room and chose the perfect one for me. Thank you all.

Attended a wedding 2 days ago and from the very start there were problems. Went to order a drink and one till had froze so had to trek to another smaller bar upon which the bar staff couldn’t differentiate between red wine and white wine, to then later on not being able to be served by some of the staff as they were too young to serve alcohol. Later the food was brought out and was not even what the wedding party had ordered, staff seemed to have no clue what was suitable for people which food allergies and some people ended up with no food at all.
Personally I ended up being sick later that night and many other guests at the wedding felt ill too later and next morning, 2 days on and I still don’t feel great. Will definitely steer clear of this place in future and I’m sure the wedding party were hugely disappointed and let down by this too.

Really surprised at some of the reviews. Sarah at front desk upgraded mine and my colleagues room as the standard rooms had no view. The dinner was quite slow to come out but it was fine. The house cat let us make a fuss of him. And we had a history lesson and an impromptu tour of the hotel including the bridal suite which was beautiful.

Decor was incredible, sadly that's as far as it goes. The coffee was very cold and took 20 mins to arrive.
We came to an event, the buffet was extremely poor, I really was shocked at exactly how bad it was. The tiny triangles contained the tiniest amount of cheap margarine and some of the sandwiches had absolutely no meat or anything inside them!!. Very little else available to eat or order, Shocking, I would of expected this kind of service at a kids party not at a professional location like this. Very disappointing.

I recently got to photograph a wedding at Miskin Manor in South Wales. It was a wedding photographer's dream come true. The manor is an old building that has been beautifully restored. It made a beautiful setting for the ceremony and reception. The grounds are just as impressive, with many beautiful spots for portraits and group pictures. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and they made sure that everything went smoothly on the day. The venue and its facilities were also very impressive to the couple and their guests. Miskin Manor is a great place for a wedding, and I hope to go there again in the future.

We were driving back from Swansea and decided to stop overnight as the drive was becoming a strain. The venue was in a stunning setting which we could only appreciate in the morning. We were upgraded to a four poster room as the heating was struggling in other areas. It was very cold but given the age and size of the venue we could see why. There were real fires lit in the reception and lounge areas. The decor was grand and looked very festive. We spoke to one staff member at breakfast who said the place was up for sale and struggling. He did give us a brief tour of the function rooms as one staff member was getting married that day so we had a sneak preview and the ceremony room was lovely and warm. It's certainly a lovely place for a wedding 💒 but definitely room for improvement. The cooked breakfast could be hotter and you had to go into a separate room and bring it back to your table. Overall it was satisfactory and staff were good.

Beautiful manor house and lovely rooms. Breakfast was hit and miss, 2 days table service 1 day buffet.
Made all the more enjoyable seeing the resident cat sat outside our room every morning ❤️ he was very cute

Cold room on arrival, no radiator turned on. Lack of wines and snacks available at the bar. Awful New Years Eve meal.
Breakfast was undercooked and very cool.
No record of our spa booking on New Years Day even though we had spoken in depth with staff when we booked and had email confirmation. We had to wait for our treatment as the staff were not prepared for us, the treatment itself was not good and it was apparent that the staff are not trained masseuses. An expensive stay to be so disappointed. We have sent emails and called and asked the manager to come back to us regarding our stay but the hotel has failed to respond. The hotel is for sale and it had the general feel that it was a sinking ship and so standards did not matter.
