Absolutely beautiful place, the room was spacious with the most comfortable bed! It was clean and cool (heat wave meant the coolness was brilliant). The food was incredibly well priced and it came fast, the portion sizes were brilliant and the food was hot and tasty. The staff were also really friendly, especially Shaun who looked after us well, and one girl who worked the bar who's name I didn't catch. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who's going to be staying in the area, who who wants a nice break in a very scenic part of Wales!

Lovely traditional hotel with really friendly staff. Couldn’t do enough for my husband and I. We took our dog and he was made very welcome. Room was cosy and bed very comfy with crisp, fresh linen. The locals were extremely friendly and chatty. Lovely location and 20 miles away from Bala. 10 miles from Lake Vyrnwy. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed at the weekend and given a Large Double room located at the top of the hotel. Room is a little tired in terms of layout and decor. En-suite was chilly and we had no hot water for the entire evening/night when we arrived, and the TV only worked when it wanted to, limited reception, Electric shower needs some attention, the motor and pump hunts for pressure which results in the water turning from warm to cold quickly. Reported to staff, no one offered any help but were clearly aware of the TV issues as was told other residents had complained..The breakfast was lovely. Well presented and nice and hot with as much tea and coffee as you wanted including toast, cereals and yogurts. Really good value. The bar and staff generally were great. Car park at the rear of Hotel handy too. Good hotel for the Lake and Waterfall visiting. Shame about the other things. I get its hard for pubs/hotels and Inns to keep going but a little investment would definitely help this place. I would return
