Great for a short stay in Bridgend. We stayed for 1 night to visit friends. Central location. We got back around midnight, the pub shuts at 1am so there was a hum of noise (not as loud as the hubby's snoring, I forgot my ear plugs) if you're a light sleeper take ear plugs, once the bar closed it was very quiet all night. Rooms clean, kettle & refreshments, iron, ironing board, hairdryer provided. Very good over bath shower. Hand & shower soap provided. Would definitely stay again.

Never actually stayed in a room here, only went to eat and play the games they have but the food, service and atmosphere are all great. I love their chicken burgers.

Stayed at most JDW hotels. This one had all the usual expected facilities + a lift. The disadvantage, which I hadn't encountered before and it wasn't highlighted before arrival was - the hotel is in a pedestrianised area without it's own carpark. Parking is a distance away over bribges etc - completely inaccessible to the alone disabled person without motorised transport between 10.00am and 10.00pm - It's a major drawback!

Service was alittle slow, staff not very customer focused, they looked fed up to be honest. Food was lovely 10/10 would of been nice to be told where the refill machine is as we are no local

Room was very clean and had everything you would need and despite being over the main entrance we didnt notice any noise issues. Had evening meal and breakfast there and as usual the food was lovely. We found all staff were friendly and efficient. Only downside was no parking in the immediate area but The Rhiw car park nearby was free overnight. Overall great value for money

We stayed here early August for three nights. Room was lovely, bed very comfortable, bathroom great, all very clean, tea, coffee, bottles of water and some lovely cookie biscuits which were all replenished each day! Staff very friendly, only ate in pub once but didn't have to book and food was good, drinks very cheap!! Lovely Italian directly opposite well worth a visit, English food is also included on the menu. We used this as a base to travel around and would definitely recommend staying here, and we will be back!!
